Note, this is professional level gun paint. You can only remove it with a sandblaster. As for the adhesive... The US Army has used it on the National Guard promo/recruitmen HMMWV's with great success.

well dude think of it this way. anything thats like a "sticker" or a wrap can be removed if you ever decide you dont like it anymore or want to change the looks of your gun.
you could aslo do what i do when i paint custom skateboards. go to a dept. store and get a roll of adhesive laminate. apply it to whatever you wish to paint and with an exacto knife gently and carefully cut out your own custom design and then peel it out where you want it painted and spray it, let it set up for a min and then peel the rest of it off and youre left with a pretty professional looking paint job

I am making a 150 dollar order from there. Needless to say, I'd like a paint job that won't come off when I'm crawling around in the muck and grime. Some people are fine with buying cans of testors and going at it ever time the paint gets ripped off by a couple games worth of wear. I'd rather just have a paint job that will last the life of the gun.
Just pointing out options, that's all. DIY stencils could work nicely, but pre-made ones are awesome. http://www.geek-out.com/paint/a5/b5/b5_067.htm http://www.geek-out.com/paint/a5/b5/b5_068.htm http://www.geek-out.com/paint/a5/b5/b5_069.htm I'd say it kicks a spectacular amount of ass... http://customfirearmfinishes.com/bro...wcat.php?cid=9

yeap thats why we use krylon fusion or krylon camouflage, it actually bonds to the gun and it doesnt come off.

It might work for a while, but it scratches and flakes off with regular use. Looking at any mags where they hit the well will show that.

as far was paints ive used krylon and rustolium a few times now without any issues. there are scratches on the gun but if anything that makes it look better. more used or w.e
anyway i did a paintjob useing these stencals on a box just to see what it would look like with some left over paint from my last project. its not perfect digital by any means but i like it better then my first attempt at digital. anyway these arent the best pics nor is vary good workmans ship. (did this in about 10min didnt even let the paint dry before i added more.) http://usera.imagecave.com/darkagent343/IMG_0220.jpg http://usera.imagecave.com/darkagent343/IMG_0222.jpg so digital, yes perfect, no. im gona start version 2 right after i finish my flectarn and italian digital patterns. btw anyone know if matte clear will make the finish both flat and more protected? If you get a good fleck stencil going can you pm me with the info about it. I hand painted a pistol with testors and it's alright, but I'm looking for something a little better.

use krylon acryllic clear coat. hold it far away from what your spraying, spritz it on in small bursts so that you end up with a textured effect. youll know youre doing it right when you have a white powder covering the surface. its little specks of paint that dried in mid air before attatching to what was being sprayed. it gives it the appearance of being flat/dull this method has proven very effective at giving a nice finish when i am painting custom skateboards. i should think that it would carry over to just about anythign that youre painting.

Yes, but only one coat (or else it will get shiny). It's advised to get some flat black, hold the can far away from the gun and spray it softly to get pellets of paint on the surface before you clear coat it. This will add texture as well as increasing the matte finish.

Testors makes a product called Dullcoat that is designed to eliminate any shine from Flat finishes, most hobby shops carry it, for military paint jobs it is likely the best bet.

lol had the window open without responding, solly
Although the black produces a visual texture as well as a surface texture, whereas the clear, from what I've seen, just produces the surface texture. Both reduce shine.
