Well it's the best airsoft gun we got right now. I totally agree with all you, A realistic brand name airsoft gun will totally kick this guns ass! But for now...Backyard wars for me!

We were planning on painting it black...but I was afraid it would ruin the guns performance...

As I said, I don't like clearsoft. If it's clear out of the box, it'll never be one of my guns. Simple as that. I don't want to require paint to make it stop looking like a toy.

Only exception would be if I had metal parts to replace the clear ones within hours of opening the box.

When I think of clearsoft, I think of the idiots in my city and neighbourhood who walk around in public with clearsoft pistols so they can shoot each other and prove they're idiots for all to see. Most recent time I was coming home and 3 punks were shooting each other at the end of my f*ing driveway. If only the neighbours had seen that, since there's about 15 cops living within 3 blocks of me.

I get your point about clearsoft and the idiots associated with them eh don't get me wrong I hate people like that as much as the next guy but this gun isn't in the same category as that shit and it not only comes in clear, it comes in black/tan as well as the original version Cyma CM028 which is a TM clone.

I'm truly sorry if I offended you or anything...I did not know that you hated clearsoft guns with a passion! I am sure that when I try out a REAL airsoft gun...I will realize how crappy the clearsoft one is

Well, in all honesty, a Kraken is one of those guns that blurs the line between an entry level AEG and crappy clearsoft.

As for offending people, it's really not for you to offend anyone simply by having a friend who owns a Kraken.

I'm rarely offended, but I stick to my opinions. So apology unnecessary.

Well I'm a nice guy...so it's in my nature to apologize
REALY wish I can hold a REAL airsoft gun right now, but that will have to wait. Are most players at airsoft events generous enough to let you try out there gun?

How can a clone of the TM outperform the original?

That being said however, I personally did pick up a CYMA/Kraken 028, and with a few cosmetic upgrades from ebaybanned, I got it nearly full metal, and shooting as sweet as any Marui (though I still should re-shim / clean the internals).

Outperform is a matter of opinion. It is more likely to breakdown than a TM.
