ok, i dont think ill be taking my gun apart that often so i dont think i need that much of a newbie friendly gun... unless theres some kind of weird fetish ill get when i get my gun... like picking scabs or somthing... and i think im nice enough to my canadian tire guns...so unless you can give me a better reason im still confused...

what kind of matienence will it need? how do i keep it in shape?

thanks for the doc's corner thingy, i was looking in there earlier but my browser kept on failing me today... kinda weird.

as for my spelling and gramers, so sawey, me engrish very bads, neead to learns me a book!

Essentially all you need to do after you field it is clean the barrel very well with the cleaning rod. Flip the gun upside down, toss a drop or two silicone oil into the magazine feed hole in the gun every now and then(This is somewhat a debated issue, some feel it helps some feel it doesnt). Before storing your gun, fire once or twice on semi auto to make sure your spring is not compressed, remove the battery and call it a day. Insure that there are no rounds stored in your mags as leaving rounds in mags for an extended period of time can weaken the spring. Essentially those are the bare bone basics of gun care. I may have forgotten a few things but Im sure someone can follow up on this.

If you ever have the opportunity to get the service of a true gun doc, have them grease your gears and cylinder, this should be done on par with how much your gun is used through out the year.

Basic maintenance and care of AEG is also in the FAQ/Information section. Take a look.

There are guns that are more user-friendly than others, most are late models or good old workhorses like the TM AK47.

What you want is mechanical dependability first, looks come second.

A trick to know what is dependable? Check the Doctors Corner section and do NOT pick a gun you see mentioned in there all the time.

there is a thread (faq i think) that will tell you what can, and can't, be ordered from the states. be sure to read it, and realise that this is not a comprehensive list. Plus t always helps to support local retailers, cause when they are gone, there gone.

A good gun doesn't make a good player. Just because one has a wicked upgraded gun doesn't mean one is good at airsoft.

Yes, as you said yourself, you need to read some more.

Maintenance, choosing, rules, types of oil, all that stuff gets asked often enough to have been placed in the Frequently Asked Questions section. Having a PAL does not help. It's unfortunately irrelevant for airsoft guns.

yea, i like to support the local guys, and such, i get my cheap gbb guns from some friends at a hunting store they own lol, i just like some of the cheaper bits and pices the states have to offer, and no, im not going to replage the body unless i smash it on a tree. im getting this gun because it has what i wantl; rails, optic, over all good stuff, and all that jazz

i dont intend on going to clubs near me yet untill i have some practice games with my buddys around our massive areas out here in bc.

its not that i think that ill be a good player just cuz i have a good gun, its that i have enough money to buy this gun, it has and dose what i want, and im happy with that, my gbb guns from crosman are actuly pretty good (350-400 fps)
but its just not a real airsoft gun. i think im a bit exentric, i wanna get what i think is the best and ill work hard enough to get it. maby thats why all i have is a kik ass tv...

anyways keep them ideas coming, the more the better, thanks for all the help thus far

Playing just anywhere you want IS a problem you should read about before you get in trouble, and get the authorities on our case.

Please read that FAQ section. It's been suggested at least 3 times now.

uhh i dont think you get it, were out, in the middle of langley/surrey no where, on 1/4(mine), 2, and somtimes 20 acers of forested yard.
but yes, i know, we have gotten questions from neibours, but there even fine with my compound bow up and down my yard, and i think they are fine with 6mm pelets if they dont mind the occaisional arrow flying at somthing around 900 fps.
and yes, im working my way through it on another tab right now.

Its been spoke of many times, many people have stated that they live on large sections of land with noone around. We only try and warn you that its not adviseable, and the only reason we do it is because it has happend, Where somone who doesnt know any better is driving by and sees someone running around a field with what seems to be an assault rifle.

But it seems you can make your own decisions. We have presented you with the information.

Exactly. What YOU think is nice and safe does not make it Legal. If you want to risk it, it's your choice. The reasons why are written down.

keep in mind they are clear plastic with orange tips, and were wearing paint ball masks, also the only people that can see that arnt sheaded by forest have been checked with and there all cool about it, but most of the time were in dense forest that takes its toll on the visibility of anyone within 20 acres(also a toll on our visibility and accuracey)

but no, i totaly see your point, its totaly our dumass risk for having fun, things happen no matter how careful you are...as has been much appearent to me... falling off a roof and all...but thanks for the concern!
