I thought the only difference between the two was lube. Well, C134A is hard to get these days (not as common as propane for god damned sure), so a P226 Stock from TM that can take propane would do me some good... interesting.

and the pressure which is the main difference
i mean i have literately 150 tanks of prop in my garage from a bulk buy a long time ago so what does it take to go out and drop a few bucks on an adapter and oil. say you buy prop for 4 a bottle and you get oil for 5 bucks and that oil will last you per say 1 or 2 bottles(probably incorrect just a guess) that works out to 6.50 a bottle compared to 30 you can get ~4 bottles for the price of one green gas container and a bottle of propane is like the size of about 3 and a bit green gas containers.(14 times more gas for the same price(holy fuck i just realized how much cheaper that is...) ) plus its way safer

Mainly worried about slide cracks, is all. However if I were to get a P226, I'd certainly get some sort of slide and different internals.

lol figure out how long you can run the slide for using propane and how much you will save then figure out how much your slide would sell for them either use it till ya loose it or go ahead buy your slide and sell the old one

I honestly have to say stock TM P226 wins hands down over any monkey metal KJ gun any day. If you want looks and sound, go for the KJ. If you want an actual performer, I'd go with TM any day of the week.

KJ guns can't even possibly touch the range I've achieved with just a stock TM P226. My P226, almost completely unupgraded excluding a replaced guarder feeding nozzle has the same range as an AEG's with .25's.

This also being said; almost all of the new TM GBB's (Pretty much everything like the P226, 5.1/4.3, 1911, etc) can run on propane reliably without much chance of failure (My friend has been touchy in using propane with his upgraded TM Glock, but that is due to wear issues). I've been using my P226 with it's plastic frame and body for over two years now on propane, and it hasn't stopped firing since (Except for a broken trigger spring, but it fired after that)

With a dremel tool, grinding bits, a careful eye, a steady hand, and patience.

I can confirm that most (if not all) of TM's newest GBB offerings can handle green gas right out the box. Not like the old days where the slide would flex off the frame and fly into your face, or cracking plastic. I've hardly heard of modern plastic TM slides breaking under propane use - the only thing you'll experience is advanced wear of the slide catch. If you really want ultimate performance, drop in an enhanced recoil spring with that plastic slide and feel some insane kick & crisp recoil.

Anyways, you can use the plastic slide till it totally busts, then you'll have an excuse to upgrade.

Yeah, that number is incorrect... a single bottle of oil has lasted me at least 20 cans of propane now.

Check with someone who can import restricted goods, such as 007airsoft or A&A

So is the piece you're showcasing a TM 226 upgraded with a Prime kit?
