I am DEFINITELY not saying the stock SSG is a better gun than any custom tuned rifle. Im only saying I personally dont care for doing it. I wanna grab a decent gun and have fun lol.

If you're not the sort that wants to/enjoys tinkering with your gun, then the SSG is the best out of the box sniper platform you can get, and the one to buy.

If you're after the best possible performance and like to tinker, then an upgraded VSR-10 is your jam.

I’ve noticed you’re from Toronto. Do you snipe yourself? If so where?

I have an Amoeba Striker shooting 500fps with .2

I use .36

I have a Madbull M160 in it, Stock piston, sears and bolt. I swapped the Hop Up out and put in an action army Hop Up and a VSR10 6.01 550mm inner barrel with a Laylax Nine Ball bucking. It handles the spring like a champ

How long have you been shooting it in that form? The stock sears are known to be very soft and won't last particularly long (also 45º instead of 90º); the aluminum piston is also known to lose material very quickly on the sear surface.

I'd be very amazed if you got lucky and have a striker that has good stock sears!

Had it for over a year. You can upgrade the sears and piston.
