The nice thing with the Helo kit is it still allows small about of airflow. Has seen good success in hot conditions, however I can't say the same for humid. I'd like to put them to the test.

I was out in Kelowna playing the other week with the guys out that way. It was a good chance to introduce them to Wolver!ne, the new local AV guy. Fun group and a good area, but even in the Okanagan in autumn I still fogged. Argh! I used to complain about he minimal fogging I'd get on ballistic glasses in Alberta, now I'm in BC and having to wear goggles, and shit is out of control.

I just can't see this not fogging in game for the same person who has Boogie Regulators fog up.

The nearer the lens is to your face the more prone it will be to fogging.

Off to Linkedin Monday to find Oakley people to befriend if no one can find them in the shops.

I have gone to JT Paintball goggles with a thermal lens and there is absolutely zero fogging regardless of temperature, exertion on my part or relative humidity.

I had bought them used on ASC with fans and I think I will be removing the fans so that they fit better under a boonie hat or helmet. I replaced the lens for a new gradient tint thermal one at a very reasonable price. The fact is I have never had to turn the fans on at all at any time so I don't need them. I'll likely move them to my backup army surplus goggles because they fog like a bitch regardless of what I do.

A slight bonus is the ridge that runs along the bottom of the frame. It is a perfect spot for the face mask to sit on and keeps it off of my face by approx. 2 mm or so. I have now gone and actually attached the face mask to the ridge with tiny zip ties and the whole unit works as one now. This has eliminated the head-strap for the face mask altogether.

Yes but Rossco, they are anything but low-pro goggles. The JT goggles are bulky.

That is true, especially when you strap a face mask to them. At 6'3" 220 lbs there isn't much I'm going to hide with lower profile goggles. lol

There is never any fogging though.

My issue isn't looking for goggles that don't fog*, I already have a good set that never do. I just want something prettier that my NOD won't rub against.

Looks over performance. If you don't look good doing it, you shouldn't do it at all.

We need to design a tiny little fan kit that can clip to glasses, and not mess with your face. Start inventing guys. Vision overall is better in glasses versus any goggles I've worn. I'm sure an alternative will present itself. Also I might add that anti-fog products aren't working out here. I've tried the gels, the sprays, the cloths even Rain-X without success. Spit works for a short time, but it blurs the lenses.

Some sort of Dyson-esque system that pumps fresh air in with a hose and sucks out the humidity on the other side. With the air pump on the back of you head so you don't hear the motor.

Glasses vs. goggles means you're dealing with tunnel vision. The deeper frames mean you can't see where you're putting your feet and if you're in the bush that's tripping and sprained ankles time.

So there is a very real advantage to that small profile. It's not all about looking good.
