Well I think the point of getting an AR adapter is to get away from the crappy side-folding stock that tend to break under heavy use. Though, a full metal AR style side-folder would be interesting.

IMHO the MK16/17 look better with the stock adaptor.

Got dat RA Tech AR stock adapter on its way. Waiting for Airsoft Store to restock their black MILSPEC buffer tubes then grabbing an ASAP plate and stock. I'll post the finished product for schmoozing.

VLTOR SCAR M4 Stock Adapter
Well, Zack, while the purpose of these adapters may be to bypass the weakness of the hinges, they don't compact as far as hinged. I think the two combined would serve me perfectly, because my prob with the stock...err, stock, is that it partially blocks the ejection port (yah, I know, it's airsoft), and that it pushes the stock against the back of my hand when folded. My We G39C had neither problem. To me an M4 stock that folds too might just solve my prob.
And, yah, I look forward to seeing pics of your mod. I've yet to find a good one on Google. I hope it works out best for ya, man. |

I wanted to do something similar to make a really short SCAR-L I was inspired by these Mp5 looking stocks, the problem became where to store a battery. I hate bags and fake laser housings so I scrapped it. I know that the body itself is shorter, but they arent exactly long guns to begin with. I look forward to what you come up with since you dont have to worry about batteries You and Shortround will have some of the most unique Scars around |

VLTOR SCAR M4 Stock Adapter
I'm planning to pick up either the Angry Gun adapter or the Ra Tech adapter, but before I spend the coin on the stock I have in mind (advertised to fit GBB or AEG) I'm concerned about how much modification I may need to do, if any. The Ra Tech adapter looks like it'd fit perfectly the contours of this stock, but what sort of modification could I be looking forward to, worst case scenario? Thread mismatch? Diameter differences? What sort of problems are common?

RA Tech for the win. Fits like a glove and allows for the use of sling plates like the KAC versions or Magpul ASAPs. Takes all RS and MilSpec tubes.

VLTOR SCAR M4 Stock Adapter
That's great. My remaining concern is how accurate the stock I want is.
So, looks like I'll save my pennies, err, nickels, and get the RaTech. Thanks much, guys. |

Okay, I'm ready to invest in the Ra Tech adapter. Being still dirt-poor, I'm trying really hard to find the best price, after shipping. Could anyone here point me to the source that'd have the lowest cost with shipping in?
