Now im sure there will be people who say you can get a decent setup for less...sure. But im talking about spending an extra hundred bucks and having a gun that lasts a hell of a lot longer then a china made gun.

Also, if it says made in china...GG!
There are decent made in china guns remember there clones doesn't mean there that much worst then the original but I agree with you get what you pay for when it comes to certain clone companies cough AGM

If your budget allows, then look at a G&P Masada.

'polymer' is a catch all term and can be anything from brittle abs to nylon fiber reinforced, kind of like fiberglass.. polymer = plastic... there are many types of plastic, it's like lumping in iron, steel, stainless steel, aluminum and potmetal and calling it all 'metal'.

are they the same? are do they all have different grades of quality among each type?

Was actually considering the gun as well... internally it would certainly need replacements and upgrades from what I gather.

All I did was shim on the G&P gear box and it was a tough shooting machine ever since. If you do a search, I guess the G&P guns are shipped with poorly shimmed gear boxes.

What style hop up unit does the A&K take? Can't it simply be replaced by aftermarket ones or is it proprietary?

Take a look at G&G combat machines or if you're willing to spend a bit more the G&G top tech series. They're solid guns.

Had a G&G CM16 raider, liked it, miss it, but like my F2000 more lol. Was just thinking of getting something to make a Masada RSASS platform.

I prefer the A&K over a Ares PTS Masada because because of the proprietary Ares trigger system.

The Wii Tech hop up unit works great. A lot of A&K owners use it.
