Sell mp9, buy mp9r, use with mp7 holster, or is the foregrip a deal breaker for you?

Brugger & Thomet , the maker of the real steel MP9, do makes their own holster.

I'll look it up right away.

EDIT:

Found the part I'm talking about :

Seems to use the Blackhawk mounting pattern holes for plastic belt holster or molle adapter for blackhawk holsters.

I used mine for my Mp5 Swordfish.. a little bit heavy for it.
This works well. I've been using mine since early last year (in fact, I think I pioneered the use on MP9's).

An improvement would be to [i]not[/b] use the built in side rail, but to buy a 90 degree offset mount (branded as GG&G and a replica can be found at airsoftdepot). This allows you to mount the Weaponlink closer to the stock of the weapon, and keeps the muzzle pointed downwards as opposed to up for easier drawing of the weapon. Use a sling in conjunction for best results.

I'm not sure of the body material of the gun, but sewing a small neo magnet maybe like a 1" circle to the lower back of your vest may work for both left and right handed draw.

You have the 1 point to keep it attached to you, the magnet would just keep it out of the way.

Either that or a weapon catch if you're concerned with it being knocked out of place.
Magnets would require a sling for sure. Even huge hard drive magnets (much stronger than the tiny neo magnets) will have a hard time staying put while on the move, but will take huge amounts of strength to "un-holster".

Do not underestimate the power of magnets my friend! :P seriously, you can get some neodymium magnets about 1.5" in diameter with a pull force of 250lbs (rated in the best conditions of course). It was tested and holding just fine at 240lbs when stuck on a steel H-Beam, and pulling downward perpendicular to the magnet

As for removing, you just have to slide it off the face and it's not that hard. That said, maybe that while running one would have problems then, depending on how the magnet(s) is/are oriented

Yeah, its not so much how strong the magnet is, its how resistant it is to constant moving (jumping around and running). Trust me, try pulling apart a hard drive and you'll see how strong those magnets are.

You will need a bracket of some sort to capture the mp9 and prevent excessive movement while you move. Think of the magnet as the retention only

Exactly.

You can get 1-2 ultra heavy pull magnets, and simply make a kydex/nylon/anything brace that contours one side of the gun only, the magnets will hold in firmly in place, and the "holster" will prevent rotation/sliding. You just need to make the molding with a gap to slide the gun halfway off the magnets, then you should be able to pull it out.

Worked great with a NERF gun for a scify prop/costume.

I run a single point sling and one of these
http://airsoftdepot.ca/catalog/produ...oducts_id=2145
On my 416.
When i need to climb or use my pistol i just clip the rifle in.
I can run, jump, climb and the weapon stays put. Should work great on such a light gun. So long as you have a side rail of some kind either integrated or an offset one from and existing rail.
The large part attaches to molle and the round bit attach to a rail. It just clips in like an oldschool cell phone belt clip. Prety handy thing it is.

That's what I'm getting lol. The MP9 has that side rail above the folded stock, and since I'm right handed, I can just grab the grip and pull the weapon (hopefully) up and out. On that note... Hectic, I wanna see you at a field sometime lmao I'd love to get some on-site pointers from some of you guys...

Alright, the weapon link and my new mask came in, (quite swiftly I might add, ordered it late Tuesday night, shipped yesterday and arrived this morning from AirsoftDepot, quite impressed with them ) so I'll be finalizing my kit tonight. Hopefully it'll be what I'm expecting the weapon link to do lmao. Game is only a few days away!

Wait, how does this weaponlink work? I'm having troubles visualizing it. Can someone link a photo?
