If you have issues with the G&G exterior you will certainly be disappointed with a A&K.
My friend has a A&K. When it it is beside by G&P , you can see the differences. |

I'm not sure actually i didn't look at the box XD It's a round fluted collar and I can see threads underneath it, but it's way too tight for me to untwist. I wanted to mount my good bipod to it but I wasn't able to access the bottom rail, so I had to use my old bipod that's a simple non-retractable rail mount system.

UPDATE: So... with .25's and FULL hop, the bbs were going like, 120 feet before dropping sharply? I'm wondering if the hop up is just garbage, or the madbull blue bucking I installed is too hard or whatever? Any thoughts/suggestions as to fix this? Otherwise the shots were straight as an arrow, just didnt have any range whatsoever. FPS was ~350 stock, very consistent.

Dropping sharply? And are you able to get any sort of overhop with adjustment? If so, your unit might be a bit faulty if you have to crank it for any noticable effect.

I've pushed the hop to its max setting and its just dropping like 100 feet out. No over hop period.

With no hop my bbs will fly straight and arc downwards at 100ft. With proper hop my bbs appear visibly over 200 ft. Too much hop and it arcs upwards.

I am aware what the hop up does, but my point is that at FULL hop the bbs are NOT going past 100 feet. Unless for whatever reason the hop up is backwards, I'm pushing the wheel forward in the direction of the arrow that clearly states 'hop' and its as far as i can push it and it's just dropping.

Sounds like your hopup just isn't working. Missing the little nub that helps push the rubber down...

Maybe, but I never took the hop up unit apart... I'll check tonight, and see. I have a spare nub in my tool kit to replace it if it is missing thankfully... Kind of stupid for it to be missing on a brand new gun.

Without hop most BB's will drop before even 50ft. It might be all the range you'll get out of that gun, but yes there could also be something wrong with the hopup.
Was it 350fps on 0.20 or 350fps on 0.25? Also how are you measuring distance (that goes for everyone in this thread)? Most people are pretty terrible judges of distance. |

350 on .2s i think tbh i dont really remember right now. Itd make more sense to be 350 on .2s.... And I'm just gauging rough distance but it drops pretty fast compared to my F2000 and MP9 which both shoot at least twice the distance. Targeting the same tree then firing past it the sr25 didnt get much further than the tree while the other guns went way past.

The "SR-25" has a large nut that hold the rail in place. This one can be undone with an anaconda tool (rubber strap with a handle), or lots of elbow grease. The URX sometimes can be undone, but way easier with the tool. |

did you put the nub back into place after you reinserted the barrel with bucking into the hopup unit? You wouldn't believe how many guns get passed to me with non working hopups cause the guy who thought he could do it himself lost that little nub or didn't even know of its existence? is the barrel upsidedown so that the hopup window is pointing down and not up,thus not allowing the arm to push the nub down into the window?

Oh that's right it's basically just held in place with just a bit of freakin grease -_- might be the one I had on my desk then or it came from the madbull unit i bought. i'll be checking tonight. But the last time I looked at it, the nub didnt just fall off so if it DID, shitty tack job lol. But no, the barrel was properly aligned, I knew how to do that much lmao
edit: second thought, the nub i picked up from my desk was completely dry, no sign of grease or any adhesive. |
