I like the sniper idea because of the stealth aspect of it. but being in range of enemy fire isn't being a sniper.
well unless you feel like dumping hundreds of dollars into the rifle you're gonna be in range.

fps =/= accuracy
fps =/= range

I see your points, all go with an aeg instead. Saves me some money to go towards gear.

Airsoft sniper rifle without upgrade will have almost same range to most AEGs, no matter what fps that is, and AEGs are shooting you at full or semi auto...
Airsoft sniper rifle with enough upgrade will easily cost $800-$1000 or more, probably enough money for 2-4 decent AEGs. That will only get you a very small adventage to AEG, mostly in accuracy rather than range.

If you are new to the sport, don't get a sniper rifle.
If you want to save money, don't get a sniper rifle.

FPS don't mean anything about how well the airsoft gun performs, it is just a matter of a spring. not enough FPS is not good enough, too high fps is very bad and dangerous.

+1 on what ccyg just pointed out.

noobies should get an aeg, recommend starting from a king arms m4 (metal) for around 250$
or if your really feeling cheap cabelas has the exact same m4 with clear furniture(which you can upgrade out later anyways) for around 129, literally same shit as the full black king arms m4, just cheaper due to the clear parts, same wiring, same ,gearbox, same metal body, good reliability

Might wanna remove that link from your post before the mods do. Even so, if he's new he probably doesn't want the hassle of replacing those externals, and paint probably won't give him quite the finish he wants.

Also, don't feel like you need to buy a side arm right away. They can be pricey (not to mention $50 for mags), and the up-front cost if done properly is scary enough as it is. Make sure you really like the sport before spending another 350 on a pistol, mags, and a holster.

I know I can't post links to retailers, I hope i can post pictures.

King Arms M4A1

Smart Charger to keep my batteries in check

Not sure on the battery and connector for this gun, can't find what end type. All I know is that it's twin type and 9.6V from king arm's website.
G&P 9.6V nunchuck

1600mah

seems most are using .25bbs in their M4's or should I stick to .2?

Am I missing anything? I'm bad for forgetting stuff to order.

If you want me to repost this in the n00b thread just shoot me a PM.

G&P batteries like to have bad cell. The pisture you posted is a intellect 9.6V, which should be fine.

The KA m4 comes with tamiya connector, the battery you posted also using tamiya connector, so that should be fine. Some G&P batteries come with Deans connector. You may want to change your gun and batteries to Deans connectors to reduce resistance.

Ideal BB weight depends on your fps. Check your local field rules and fps limit, you may also need a spring and spring changing.

You still need eye protection (don't save on eye protection), BDU, tac-vest and boots (you may have some of that already).

For the charger, I would rather get a IMAX B6 for almost the same price. Much smarter, and allows you to change to lipo in the future without getting new charger.

You will also need black print to print the orange plastic flashhider, or new black flashhider.

The company I'm getting it from state it as a G&P. I'd be getting 2 seeing as they are at 1600mah. Just in case one doesn't last long enough.

The smart charger is free so can't complain there.

I went over the fps and 380ish with .2 will be ok. So should i keep with the .2 or get .25s?

I'm going to deal with the gear stuff later. Need to sight in the gun and stuff anyways.

It shows it as black on the picture. Nothing a spray bomb won't fix if it isn't.

I'm ok with what I have listed? My biggest concern is the bbs wasting 10-20 bux on them isn't fun.

0.25 is better.

King Arms M4 normally comes with orange flashhider no matter what shows on the picture.
