CYMA makes great AK's.

Their externals are close to the finish of the Type 56 I fired at the range, I'll give it that. I've just had very bad experiences with CYMA internals.

Well its not that i dont like the jg m16, i love it. but its plastic body which i dont mind, but some people told me its not worth upgrading a cheap JG Gun. It shoots pretty solid but i would be interested in possible upgrades to improve the gun overall but have no clue what parts are good. Id even be willing to spend atleast 150 or 200 on upgrades. I already know i need a new battery and also a smart charger. its just the stock battery in the gun right now with the big connectors on it. If someone could direct me towards so decent ideas about upgrading that would be greatly appreciated.

Tightbore inner barrel.
A good hop up rubber. Maybe a whole hop up unit as well (try lonex)
You could open the gear box and stick a bearing spring guide in and reshim it. Maybe a pom piston head while your in there.
A merf 3.2 mosfet (with thisbyou can have 3rnd burst rof controol triger protection so u can go to lipo)
Change the connectors to deans for the install of the merf and just a beter connector.
Go to lipo batteries. Youll need a charger for them as well.
Your up around 200 with that stuff give or take a bit.
You can skip all that and buy a metal body for around the same price and save the other upgrades for when something breaks aside from the hop rubber and maybe a good tightbore those are two things i do to all my guns right outta the box

So do you recommend i just get a decent metal body and upgrade the rest once i really have to? I havent really messed with the hopup yet either, and would a 9.4v be a better battery to upgrade too? It came stock with a 8.4v 1500mah one.

And could you recommend a brand of metal body which would be a good buy compatable with my JG? Preferablly on the toronto site.

Ya with a 9.6 (not 9.4) you will notice lil better trigger response and rate of fire and with an m16 you have a tonne of space so you can use whatever battery you like most any one will fit.
And a good hop up rubber will make a difference in you range and accuracy most stock rubbers are prety crappy. Try a flat hop setup (a rubber with no nub and a flat or bridge bucking) you can get both for under 40 bucks with shipping.
Buy a good battery and charger.
Id wait for a metal body till yours cracks. Just an example i have a cyma mp5k with metal body and an echo1 m4 with a plastkc body and 12 inch rail and my mp5k (a short ass gun) is way heavier then my m4 (about the same size as your m16) so if you dont mind lugging the extra weight go for a metal body otherwise just stick with plastic.
That or you can just buy another gun (lord knows you can never have too many lol)
Maybe the AKM you wer lookin at (the lct akm full metal and wood 400fps out of the box stock 6.02 tightbore i think mayne 6.03 is around 400 bucks or so.
Cyma is cheaper they are still prety nice tho lil lower quality on the wood and metal and internals
Or a small gun like an mp5k or regular sized mp5. (again if you go cyma they are not too bad not great but not bad also metal where they are spose to be and in the 2-300 range.
There are a tonne of options.
Bottom line dont fix what aint broke.
If your gun works good use it if sokething breaks fix it
Tightbore (a good one that has a consistant bore like a pdi or prometheus or madbull.
And a good hop up rubber like a prometheus madbull lonex even a guarder
Those two things will make your shots more consistant and increase your range and accuracey you can do both for under 100 bucks depending what barrel you pic.
A promy bearrel will prolly run you 60-80 bucks and thatll prolly be the most expensive of the bunch

Would a Intellect 8.4v 5000mah Large Battery be a good battery upgrade for my JG m16?
Im not looking for a faster ROF, which was said to be increased by using a 9.6v battery.

So the 8.4 5000mah would last alot longer right? I also plan on buying a smart charger
