Does the thing Have Hop Up at all?

It looks like a beauty of a gun, but Marushin isn't know for the best Field Performers.

I'm been doing some thinking and I might just stick with the Thompson. Unless someone out there gets the m1 garand before me and has no problems with it. I really dont feel like selling all my other guns off just to pay for the m1 garand, and then find out "Oh all m1 garands are being recalled becasue of some defect!". Maby I'll think about it next year.

Also you have to watch out for garand thumb.

God how I'd like to be that person... It really looks superbe. I'd buy one as a collector item.

it would be nice to have one but if got it it would mostly stay in a glass case and maybe see very little feild use.

Read all about it here

http://home.earthlink.net/~hwsportsman/M1.html

"couple of points on shooting the Garand are worth mentioning because they are interesting or unique to the Garand. There is a condition known as 'Garand thumb' whereby the shooter relies on the bolt stop to hold the bolt open while he puts the clip in. As he pushes down with his thumb the bolt slams home and bites his thumb. We had a few cases of this during our clinic but fortunately I wasn't one of them. You also have to watch where your fingers of your supporting hand go. It is easy to let them curl around the stock and get into the operating mechanism, which will bite your fingers. After the last round is fired the clip comes flying out and the bolt stays open. Someone claimed that during WWII the Germans would wait until they heard the clip pop out and hit the ground and then come after the US solder. The clips are just stamped steel but they really are pretty loud when they land on concrete. I don't know if the last one is true, you know how stories are at the rifle range."

How are the markings on marushin guns? Is it usually real markings or does it say "Marushin"?
Just wondering what the markings would be on the reciever.

i would have to guess the is in the gun cause the clips look to small to hold any real good amount of gas.

Yes its all Internal gas. All gas is held in the Mag/Clip, and released as necessary.
