The gas efficiency of the KWA M9 PTP is awesome. I'll go 2 mag reloads before I need to refill gas. I'm not sure where you heard the KWA is not a 1:1. as far as I know it is. It's also the same weight as the real steel counter part with a full mag. I can vouche for that as my brother in law has a real steel M9. I'd say as long as trades aren't a deal breaker for you go with the KWA.
Also I'll +1 the easy parts acquisition, as I have ordered from the KWA proshop with no problems at all. If you do need to get a new trigger return spring (which I have, and is the only part I've needed to fix) get a couple of them and a new hop unit and anything else you might want to fix up, and save yourself paying for shipping more than once.

Can't speak for other brands but I've had a KJW M9A1 for a few months now. Had to replace the hopup rubber to get consistent shots, but it's been shooting fine ever since. Usually get two-to-three magazines with one fill of gas, so about 50-70 rounds. Only issues I have are the weird hopup unit (which requires a small allen key to adjust) and an easily scratchable finish.

Ah,
Should of posted it, Revolution Airsoft had the KWA M9 PTP on special for $143. You could try e-mailing them to get it again? Last edited by BioRage; December 3rd, 2013 at 14:52.. |
