Thas what I was afraid of. I had the same problem with their SR25. But what thows me off on this is that it states VSR10 compatible and they don't make a vsr10....of do they?

I sent an email to both the Ares Canadian distributor and to Ares customer support in the Orient. I'm waiting for their reply and I will post what they have to say. I also sent an email to company in Japan, I think they are called Xfire. They make high end parts for Tanakas, Tm, etc. They have a series of parts just about to come out for the ARES AW338. So one way or another I guess I'm in for picking one up.

I just got mine last week, and I gotta say I'm impressed. Might do a review if I have time.

If you're interested, you can contact me on my email adress (anthonyvdp@hotmail.com)
Be sure to mention something about aw review in the subject field, otherwise the mail might get sent to the trashcan.

Sorry to Necro this but I think I can add so helpful, relevant information. I emailed zshot last week regarding spare parts availability as well as aw338 compatibility with vsr parts.

Their reply....

Mike,
We do sell AW338 (spring) parts. They are 100% VSR compatible.
Thanks,

I asked zshot for specifics regarding parts compatibility. The guys confirmed that cylinder is 100% compatible, as is the hop up. I asked if vsr drop in triggers were compatible. I was told that since they do not, or could not get an answer to, they would be buying some triggers and get back to me/us.

Received and installed the Raven Cylinder Set...it looks the bomb. I also ordered a spring with it. The 140 pdi spring to be exact. The look on the tan gun is bloody brilliant. The cylinder is almost a perfect fit. Took a little bit to break in the action, but now it operates flawlessly. Would recommend this upgrade in a second.
