I think gas guns work a little differently than aegs. I think I remember thundercactus saying something weird about it.

edit:

found it.

Gas guns create unique problems for chrono because of this, so they have to be chrono'd on the ammo they're going to use and that number converted to a joule rating or equivalent FPS of a .20
Gas guns also shoot way harder as the ambient temperature rises, so they need to be spot checked with a chrono as well.

Regardless of the velocity your SCAR is giving you, it is a damned fine look instrument.
Exactly what Ross said. My chrono never read 570 when chronoed with .36. I used the Joule rating, and then converted that to the equivalent FPS in .20. So if it was shooting at 2.40 Joule with .20, it was shooting at 2.75 Joule with .36. That's why measuring in Joule is always better in my opinion, and avoids confusion.

I'd agree with that. It also avoids the issue of measuring in fps vs mps. Joules are more universally understandable.

There no NPAS unit that is specifically for the M14. This is actually an NPAS unit for WE open bolt systems in general, which includes the M14, PDW, M4, M16, HK416, G36, etc. (open bolt versions of course).

It's sold for $15 at airsoftparts.ca and it's pretty much a straight drop in with no mods for the M4/M16/HK416. Can't say if it's straight drop in for the others tho.
