If you check out extreme-fire.com Terry has made a few recomendations on which micro switch to replace the stock one with that is less prone to contact vibrations at low voltages.

after reading the PDFs posted on extreme-fire.com, i completely agree with him, avoid AEGs that use micro switches like the plague. right now the ACR in my care has had mods done to it so i can use a normal V2 switch. all issues associated with the micro switch are gone, and the only issue with the mod is the replacement of the original trigger. due to the trigger replacement, the mechanical safety no longer works. i am currently working on a solution to this problem, but at least the gun is now functional. the next change im working on, is replacing the MOSFET and switch with a drop-in trigger FET from AWS Airsoft. the Raptor V2HC-X100 is a drop-in replacement for V2 switches and is an integrated MOSFET FCU. this will at least have the option for a computerized safety. http://s305.photobucket.com/albums/n...t=MVI_2148.mp4

I seem to remember a few years ago about Remington and Bushmaster being brought under the freedom group of companies

from what i have seen, the Remington ACR has a couple of changes over the Bushmaster ACR. one of the main changes is the gas block. the Remington one is slightly different, it looks like the PTS ACR gas block with the large knob to regulate the gas. as for the BM version, it is a bit smaller and has a flat profile with a hole on it where you stick a cartridge and use it to twist the knob.
another change Remington made was to add a polymer cover over the edges of the ejection port. it's integrated with the brass deflector, and also serves to close the obvious gap between the carrier and the upper that is visible on the BM version. can't forget that Remington also got rid of that silly flip up sight and made the top rail run the full length of the upper. Remington ACR Bushmaster ACR
