And that, my man, is where you are horribly wrong. Even outside.

It's as silent as a BA, and with .28, same range than most AEGs. Ask around (Silverthorn, Long Bong, CDN Stalker...)

I've had my fair share of kills with a M3, not counting CQB.

I'm just gonna go ahead and trust you on that. Lol
I kinda meant if 2 people with equal skill, but one were to use a shotgun vs your standard m4 aeg or w.e, the shotgun would not be as effective.
But it is more based on the user than the weapon in the end i guess :O

I was thinking about it, but the only practical CQB use I could think of was if it used the airsoftsurgeon buckshot shells. But after having to deal with an M203, I don't wanna have anything to do with gas powered shells anymore lol

If anyone is interested in mounting a shotgun to a railed M4 though, I'm willing to do the mod. Removing the grip and professionally fabricating a mount for it.

And if you find your M4 is too heavy, it just means you don't exercise enough

At 16 pounds without the nigth vision scope she was a bitch to carry. Specialy since all the weight was in front. Next time I'm going to use a gas shotty modified to run on co2.... Mounted to the underside of a ris all metal m4. Also will run a full stock to move the 12 volt battery to the rear.... Yeah she was running off a 12 volt battery in fixed in the gun.

Yeah we mounted a cheep springer shotgun to an already heavily ‘punked’ up electric M4 as a film prop. I told people repeatedly ‘don’t pump the shotgun. Do everything else but don’t pump the shotgun’. Guess what, some nitwit actor/actress pumps the shotgun and the whole thing rips off.

Ended up having to gaff-tape the thing back on. Didn’t harm the overall aesthetics, but damn it…

Looks aside, it's a cumbersome and impractical setup. There's a reason you don't see pics of real operators using it -- preferring instead to carry a separate shotgun.

I've seen a few swat pictures, because the only practical use for this anyway would be real fast door breaching. Might as well send a quick succession of 5.56s (or other) in the face of the guy you already have your assault riffle pointed at.

And that is why they call it a masterkey....

Dunno if this is against the rules, but I'll remove it if an admin brings the pain down on me. I'm basically reviving my project to mount a shotgun to a rail. I need help, though. I figure people interested in the topic might be able to assist me. I'm planning to make it rail mounted to a rifle (hopefully several) so that it's not just an AR thing. I have the shotgun, and the tools. I just need a way to actually get it onto the rail. Here's where you guys come in. I need a part, ANYTHING, that is rail mounted to cannibalize. I basically can't find a rail mount anywhere. So my plan is to saw the rail mount off of a broken accessory, weld it onto the shotgun, so it can screw onto the rifle.

Here's the WTB thread:

Come on guys. I plan to share the schematics if it works. Looking for a donor. I know people have all sorts of crap sitting around that doesn't work.

You know that you don't need to weld anything right?

You just need a shotgun with a top rail...

And salvage the "loose" side of any scope ring + a screw.

You basically clamp both rails together with the screw and a "loose" clamp on each side...

So 4x cheap ass scope rings from CT will do the trick.

The shotgun doesn't have a top rail, is the thing.

K, I'll bite, PM me the details, what kind of shotgun etc.
I'll find a way to attach the rail mounts to the shotgun. Unfortunately welding isn't even possible since airsoft guns aren't made of real metals lol

If its a plastic shotgun, you can probably open it and screw a rail on the top from the inside. MOE plastic rails are great because you can simply drill them and use self-tapping screws.

If the gun is metal, still disassemble it, but just to make sure there is nothing in the way inside and to clean the metal dust from drilling/tapping the holes for a G36C rail.

I plan to go with the drilling route if I can't round up donor parts. Obviously I think the donor part way is much neater looking, but it's I'll drill if I need to.
