Shipping, battery and charger, bbs, adds up still for the deepfire. They had some crazy deals on king arms guns at ehobby, but shipping would kill me along with the battery and charger. So what is exactly wrong with the jg besides nasty car grease?

The company was extremely low end. Poor quality materials used in parts and even poorer quality control. They have gotten better over the years (still far from great but I can truthfully say that their products are somewhat fair), however when you consider that you are going to blow 200 on gun from a company that clones everything and has zero R&D you may as well take that 200 and put it towards a decent company that uses good quality materials and actually puts some effort into the products they market.

I'm going to assume you're old enough to work. If so, save the $200, get a part time job, and use your first paycheck on a GOOD AEG. You can't really go wrong once you enter the $300 range and you get SO many more choices. Don't get a Chinese clone because once they break, you won't know how to fix it and you'll be left with a PLASTIC wallhanger.

I can't work! I go to school and play baseball. Plus my dad doesn't want me spending too much money at one time. There are so many gearbox guides on the internet and if I run into any problems I can ask you guys. I've heard that jgs are good base guns, which is what I want. I know I don't know much about internals now, but I can learn over time. Does anyone know what the difference is between the enhanced and the basic jg m4s? Maybe the enhanced one is a bit better than the old ones? I also haven't heard too many bad things about the g&g combat machine...

you'll be considerably happier saving up and getting something better.

your parents would understand you wanting to wait just a bit longer and get something better, it's a sign of maturity that someone will put off instant gratification for a greater long-term benefit.

May i ask, after you manage to get a JG, including shipping etc etc for and then something breaks. what will happen then?

will you have to go back to your parents and then explain you need more money? they won't appreciate that as much as you explaining that the cheap stuff is just that, cheap. Better to show longer-term thinking.
(the replacement parts may be $20 but add shipping and possibly customs if it's from another country)

even look at getting a part time job, Nothing ventured nothing gained. (if you're too young to get a job you shouldn't have airsoft )

No-one will tell you to get a PTW (Expensive, $800+ minimum) but if you shoot yourself in the foot (pun intended) by getting a gun that breaks quickly or does not suit you, that's just as stupid as someone trying to persuade you to plump for the PTW.

I actually like JG, they work well after stripping, with general care they usually last for long periods of time, but to get that good that you know you'll be able to do the above and NOT f*ck the gun up on the first time takes patience and experience, lots.

Seeing that you are in the States why not also look at the echo1 line, they make great products at an affordable price range

I thought echo 1 and jg are the same thing. My original thought was the stag arms... And doc_pathfinders my dad is very cheap it will take some reasoning to persuade him. But if it's worth it in the end I will consider it.

Echo1 just prints their name on almost everything nowadays. For their P90s, they put it on KS, For their M4s, on JG, but also slightly improve the internals. For a good starter stock in the USA, Classic Army in my opinion

I think I will go for Hong Kong AEG. TM now is way expensive. Classic army or DeepFire is the best choice for M4.

G&P makes good quality products.

Did you have a look over at redwolf or WGC? They may have this M4 but I cant guarantee the shipping may be any better.

yea i checked mostly but they dont have the type i wanted thats the problem if no one else know i think i wont have any other choice. The bad thing about that is that shipping is so expensive because they offer only 3-5 days to deliver not more so it costs pretty much. Well i hope someone would know and help me

If you want to go with a fairly cheap affordable gun, I would recommend checking out the JG Dragon from the states. it's closest to the M4, but it doesn't look like one, so you shouldn't have any problems at the border if you were going to do that. I think most sites sell it for around $160 + shipping.
