the frame of the gearbox is plastic, but the actual gears are not! try it with .2g BBs,it can penetrate very easily two sides of a pop can. |

Isn't that how these threads usually go though? For ever 10 posts saying whatever crapsoft gun the OP asks about is garbage; there's always one noob that chimes in to say how good it is hehehe ASC is always so predictably funny
*edit* lol yes because the aim of airsoft is to penetrate aluminium cans

Makes me happy to own my TM spetznas beta. In addition to knowing that it won't fail, I know my friends will be safe and not go home with bleeders and tiny holes in them.

I've owned my Pulse for about 1 year now and during the close-quarter that i've played, i was pleased with this gun's preformance.
I do agree with many on this post, yes, it's a crosman plastic. Though I disagree with them cause for the LEVEL of gun their "said" to be, the Pulse in my opinion is one of hte higher end ones. The fire rate on it, tested and proven, beat an Aftermath Kraken AEG. Now what you gained in fire rate, you did lose in range and accuracy. Which is why I used this gun for close quarters mainly. And Yes, the stock, so its called, isn't pretty and didn't work too well for me so I always had it folded in. |

Lol all the professional airsofters have come out to defend their pos guns
Plastic gearboxes are garbage, they don't even make upgrade parts for them as they are meant to be thrown out once they break the Kraken is actually a much better starter option as there are upgrade parts available for it and it is TM compatible lol omg but the rof is higher than a kraken stop the presses! Put a lipo in the kraken and see how fast the rof is before it eats itself

Well, what you got is basically a moped in the airsoft world. In the proper context, it has it's uses and can be fun.
This being said, you're basically showing off your moped in an exotic car forum. So, yeah, that might not go well. Using it to participate in games (or races, to keep the motor analogy) will end in tears for you. Honestly, the difference in price between what you have right now and what you could have is not that much. Also, you can't really upgrade what you have. There are two links in my signature, check them out. |

yeah, well im not expecting it to be the greatest thing god ever gave to airsoft players, i never said moses brought it down from a mountain and gave it to me, i just wanted to know what to expect to have to worry about breaking.
either way considering full metal airsoft guns are technically illegal here, and i dont have a restricted/prohibited gun liscence, (that and i dont have 3grand to spend on an airsoft gun. yes i looked into the restricted full metal guns, no i cant afford them, yes there is a massive price gap.) i figured it was better than nothing. but thanks for the (mostly) waste of my time replies.

Why would you need 3grand for an airsoft gun? I think even miniguns are cheaper than that. You couldn't have looked into full metal gun prices very thoroughly

You don't need a restricted/prohibited lisence for an airsoft gun. THEY ARE FIREARMS IN THE SAME WAY THAT A BB GUN IS A FIRE ARM. 3 grand will get you a goddamn Mini gun. The price for a decent gun in Canada is around the $600 mark. |

And that's a high estimate really don't you think Amos? I mean, there are some good CA aeg's for about $400 or so. There is also CYMA, and ICS that are below $400. Sure not top of the line stuff but leaps and bounds from Crosman.. and upgradable.

That's why I said "Decent gun" I've seen my fair share of horror shows that are Cyma... and in Manitoba ICS is an acronym for "It Can't shoot"

ive looked into full metal airsoft guns and every one ive looked at is marked as "restricted" or "not for civilian use." far as i can tell the only thing thats actually legal to sell here is the clear plastic ones, so maybe i am misinformed but plenty of websites dont offer full metal guns for sale in canada, and all the sites ive looked at for "real" airsoft guns list the restricted guns at 800bucks and up.
i seem to be in the wrong place anyways, i thought this was about airsoft, tactics and gaming, but as long as this is about elite-isms and "who spends more on airsoft" competitions then i dont think this is place for me.

$800 up is sometimes normal, depending on what company and type of gun it is. Reading the FAQ's will help you a lot and people on ASC won't flame you.
