Completed different externally than any other TM's, want a metal body? Well you can't have one unless it's a G&G.
I had already said I was having a hard time finding one and i realize it has to be G&G, but most of the stuff on there is TM compatible (including internals).

- "good ROF" is just a matter of what battery you are using, especially what voltage...
- "fairly accurate" what do you mean? you know that that depends on barrel length, barrel diameter, and bb weigh you are using right?

What makes a "good" airsoft gun brand is the quality of the internals....sure what was mentionned above could be taken into consideration when buying a gun, but still, you are really looking for the quality of the internals.

High FPS relies on more then just a spring. Try putting a 450fps spring in a kraken and that gun will break within 3 shots.

Good ROF isnt just the battery, its also the motor.

Fairly accurate as in it comes with a 6.05mm barrel other then the usual 6.08 that ive seen.

From what ive seen G&G makes pretty good internals. And yes mine is a Rec AK47.

G&G's aren't bad if you get their quality stuff.

However, buying their low quality shit (Which I had made the mistake of doing) its a rediculous hassle to actually personalize. I had amos work my G&G Rec AK into a peice of art. But everything (Seriously) everything external had to be replaced.

This is what my G&G AK started out as. I literally had to ditch EVERYTHING but the dust cover, selector switch and trigger guard to make it into this:

Full metal and wood externals. Which is composed of a TM front end (The outer barrel assembly on the G&G is NOT compatable in any way with TM parts) and G&P externals. I could have easily baught a RS AK47 for the costs and hassle to have this thing put together. But Amos' wonderwork made it very worthwhile. Its now a part of my collection that won't be parting any time soon, if at all.

Either way, if you have no intention to do anything to these rifles in the future they're alright, its best to get the Top Tech over the Combat machine crap.

Also, here is one of G&G's higher end AK's, which I just recently sold. There is a 'huge' quality jump between their rec crap and what they actually put effort into.

So, I'd just say "Buyer Beware" when it comes to purchasing anything from G&G, just make sure you know what you're getting into and what version of G&G you are purchasing.

Actually they have 4 screws on the bottom of the lower receiver making most TM compatible hand guards work (from what i was told). I plan to put a tactical kit from matrix on it.

Well, that is just a scope mount. But in terms of refinishing the gun externally, there is little you can do without tossing a wad of cash out to remedy the thing.

What do screws on the bottom have to do with handguard compatability?

if you mean front end compatability, the screwholes on the g&g front end do not line up with the holes on a TM compatible body.

Compared to G&P;
-MUCH weaker metal construction
-Weaker mechbox and mechbox parts
-Despite the fact G&G states their guns work at -40, they most certainly do not.
-Crap paintjob
-Advertising whore. G&G does anything to sell guns.
-And crap screws, but that kind of applies to most companies...

Other than that, they're readily available, I just couldn't use anything that wasn't a tank of a gun, thus my love for G&P....

From the G&G guns that I've worked on, my feelings towards them is just plan CRAP. I've yet to see a decent stock G&G gun pass my desk. Now I haven't worked on Top Tech yet so I can't say much about it. But for the CAS, REC and all the other crap, they are built like a piece of "you know what".

So If i want to spend around 250 i Should NOT buy the G&G AK47? It would be a begginer gun.

You made this thread for opinions so that's mine. If you believe what you have is something worth making a thread about, then I hope you all the best.

Sell you AK for 300$ and buy a CYMA one for the same amount... at least it is compatible.
