No I haven't, I did the mod right away when I got my gun, as I did not want to use Lipos.
The ICS is not the same apparently. Close but not the same.
On Redwolf Airsoft's website there is information on G&G SIG552 with the correct size Lipo battery from Kung batteries.

Do you have a G&G SIG 552?

I'm running my ICS SiG 552 with a tri lipo and an alarm, and it just barely fits. You gotta make sure you get the exact positioning, or else the hand guard won't close, but it does work.

Yes, I have a G&G SIG 552. It hasn't seen the field yet and it won't for another couple of months. I have spotted a battery on cheapbatterypacks.com that looks like it could get the job done. It's also nunchuck type 11.1V 2200mAh. I have to try and assemble a cardboard box to the same dimensions and see if it can fit in the handguard.

I'm sure that if I can remove this big ass built-in Tamiya plug, the tri-panel should fit.

Anyways, I'll let you know when I get my stuff together what fits and what doesn't. Thank you for your contributions Schlyder and TaroBear.

good luck, and if it doesn't fit ...you know that an 8.4v mini chuk will fit with the mod.
