ARS is better than the prometheus stuff. Lighter weight, higher impact absorbtion, better sealing, less mechbox wear. Just overall better.
Prometheus makes incredibly durable airsoft parts, but they've been making the same stuff for years. They just make what's already out there with higher quality. ARS actually does R&D and makes NEW DESIGNS. And if the two barrels have the same bore consistency, you'll get the exact same range and accuracy out of both. It's hard to say which would give you higher fps, the 6.03 is tighter but the 6.04 is longer. Depends on the cylinder and airseal. But IMO it's hard to find a better barrel than a prometheus 6.03 |

Question is, why are you using a M135 spring anyway? That will be over 460fps.

Lol... Nope!
You want a Prommy M110 or M120.. 135 is WAY too high. And no, your stock CA motor wont turn it over very well. |

1. So if i get a M120, what "approximate" FPS would it give me? 2. Whats the difference between "MS" and "M" ? Last edited by turok_t; July 31st, 2010 at 02:18.. |

http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=4911 The difference between MS and M is nothing. M means meters per second and MS is just Prometheus's way of marking their springs. Do more research. And stop being so sure of yourself when you have the least experience here. Last edited by Styrak; July 31st, 2010 at 02:38.. |

Amos, do you have any comments to my questions above? or any comments in general? I trust your expertise and judgement due to your numerous experiences with Prometheus products. Thanks, I appreciate it alot.

Apparently you can't follow a link, or take advice. Here I'll lay it out for you if you're going to be that way:
The Prom MS110SP gives about 390fps, and the S120SP gives about 420FPS. The MS135SP will give about 470fps. MS is Prometheus's way of saying M or Meters per second. |

Well, with 100% compression the Prommy 120 springs are giving real sword type 56's 399-402 FPS with prommy tight bores.. But IIRC the piston and cylinder are shorter than average..
Get a 110 and a 120 just to be sure, you'll ALWAYS be able to find someone that can use an upgrade spring... so don't worry about having extra. As a rule of thumb, think of the springs rating as meters per second.. convert that to FPS and it'll give you a VERY ROUGH idea of what the spring will give you 110M/S = 360.## FPS (gives me about 370-390 depending on setup) 120M/S = 393.## FPS (gives me 380-415 depending on the setup) 135M/S = 442.## FPS (Haven't installed one of these things yet so I have no idea.. but I know it'll be over) It boils down to this; If you want to get EVERY last bit out of the gun, go for the 120... but there's a chance you'll be over.. so get a 110 with it just in case Also, if you open a gear box.. Have a chrono. It makes your live so much easier, the Xcortech 3200's are really good.. and pretty cheap too |
