Did you read what I said at all? I said under 350 is good for most CQB places but using a 1J spring (~330 on .20's, really it's 328 on .20's) you're guaranteed to be acceptable for any CQB arena that you want to play at.

Haven't seen your name on any signups around here, so where is it you play exactly?

Should I get thesig field duty kit or the JG sig 552 cammando

The starter kit looks the same as the jg sig but with a 7.4 battery and no hop up. I'm looking for a gun that's going to last me 1 to 3 years. If anyone knows the internals of the sig field duty kit please tell me

links - sig field duty kit- http://avidextremesports.com/store/p...uty-Kit-552-P/

jG sig 552 -http://www.shootsoft.ca/clearsoft/product_info.php?cPath=47_49&products_id=185

And I'm on a budget

Thanks

You must be kidding me. You made the exact same thread in the newbie section days ago and we all told you what you needed to know.

EDIT : Oh okay, last thread was to choose your gun, now that you got an idea, you're asking for the best retailer, is that it? We told you not to buy the Sig, but seems you're extensive knowledge of airsoft told you to get a Sig. Whatever you want it's your gun.

But let me tell you something. If you buy from a US based retailer, (and if you live in Canada), you will not get your gun. Now, instead of creating new topics everytime you change your mind, please post in the last one.

Being new to the airsoft scene, I am going to add my two cents as well.

Cent #1: Budget? There is a word that can never be used in conjunction with airsoft. You can ALWAYS find money for crack!

Cent #2: Anything that is under $150 is either going to be total crap and break first time out, or has been used and abused by someone else already.

Get your self AVed and then have a look around, you can get some decent gear for about $300. But you are likely going to spend upwards of $450 when you start...and it only goes up from there

Buy cheap buy twice. If you plan to play airsoft, you'll just regret buying this. If it's just for plinking, buy a cheap crosman pistol or something like that.

And buying airsoft with eBay/Paypal is plain stupid.

Does anybody know if it's o.k. to play at an organized event with an airsoft rifle without a clear body or smoked reciever? I have a classic army m15a4, and was hoping I could skirmish with it.

Most people don't have clear receivers. You can play.

Thread moved/merged with the previous, virtually identical thread.

And seriously, airsoftpro, stick to the newbie tank for your own good.

That and my patience is wearing pretty thin.

Depends on the events and organizers. You'll still have to meet the age requirements for the event (many places enforce 18+). Generally clear/smoked receivers are okay, all-clear guns are frowned upon at more serious events (in large part because they're crappy quality/performance which means whomever is using it isn't pulling their weight). A handful of events do enforce "black gun" rules.

Why not invest $3 in a can of flat black Krylon (or tan, or several colors for camo, depending on your taste)?

clear, tinted, painted or whatever it doesn't matter if the gun works... Take it out and play some games then decide from there if you want to upgrade or paint the gun.
