i was just looking for a second opinion.

Can you think of any specific logical reason as to why you would need a new motor?

Quality bushings, a good shim job and a sturdy bearing spring guide are generally all people need for the most part.

Your buddy is an idiot

more power means the motor will have an easier time making it's job easier so why would you need a new motor?

If the spring was significantly more powerful you might want to consider a motor or battery upgrade or both

with the 9.6 the firerate will increase and some will say that ur internals will wear out faster which is where the shimming and spring guide come in

google version 3 spring guide etc and make your decision

9.6 will also eat your trigger contacts after an extended period of time.

If you want a faster trigger response downgrade the spring or buy a better motor.

I dont think you need to replace your motor at this time.

Ask your friend why he thinks you need a new motor.

If it's a Cyma, the spring is already pretty soft (I've heard people chrony them at 330) mine is shooting 360 and the firerate is nice but mine SINGS with a G&P 9.6 2200mah
