so....THEY ARE NOT AIRSOFT APPROVED!! and YOU COULD LOOSE AN EYE.....if you play with them....
Ok, so your saying that all JT's Brand Paintball goggles are not sufficient eye protection for airsoft then? Because that's what they are.

And who is this "someone"? where is this thread? your making very serious claims.

lol... please read my quote....

Someone mentioned these googles from Canadian tire

http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/brows....jsp?locale=en

and I was talking about those, and not the JT Spectra goggles....

here's the link to the Review about those "airsoft approved" goggles (from Yuhaoyang)

Turns out your right.. Checked the packaging. When I asked my wife to buy Paintball goggles for herself she checked online and liked the look of them. Canadian tire Claimed they where paintball approved (on their website). Im going to go down there and cause a shitstorm for misrepresenting their damn products and pick her up a new set of JT's from a local paintball shop.

Thanks for the heads up.. I guess I should have gone with her to pick them up and or checked the ACTUAL packaging after she got them home. My mistake for trusting JT's to make a qualitiy product. Thanks for the update.

Glad I side stepped those cheapies! I lost my regular driving sunglasses so I just ordered these ANSI Z87.1-2003 sunglasses
http://www.safetyglassesusa.com/11641.html
This site wants $50 to ship and the cheapest shipping to Canada from any site was $28. So I jumped on ebay and found them for $28 total including shipping

What about these Crappy Tire ones for Panther field? They say approved for paintball

these are not paintball approved, if your going to play on panther you need paintball goggles with a full seal around your eyes.

Did you see that Crappy Tire says in the description "approved for paintball" ? Someone should ring their necks before someone loses an eye.

I bought the JT Flex 8 goggles.

I just did today, when I pointed out that they are liable when falsifying safty ratings when advertising a product they apologized and said they would contact those responsible for the website to correct the problem. I bet money though they won't fix it.

Paintball goggles requires a minimum of ANSI 87.1+ rating to qualify for the "paintball" approved. I have contacted JT's demanding the safety specifications for these goggles, but they appear to have discontinued the line.

Long and the short of it. Don't buy them. They fit great and are comfortable, but they are no safer then ski goggles.

Infact never buy goggles that do not implicitly say ANSI 87.1 or 87.1 or 87.1+ ect. on the actual goggle surface. Even goggles that claim to be "milspec" is bullshit, as there is no consumer reporting required for that claim. its like "lite" products, there is no requirement to quantify them. I would rather wear crosman goggles that have the appropriate ANSI rating then trust 200 dollar "milspec" goggles that have no ANSI certification, I mean if your charging 200 bucks for goggles why not spring for the 80 dollars US to have them tested by ANSI so you can get them certified.. because they probably would not pass the testing.

I have a pair and i find them tight. I took the goggles out and kept them on my ibh helmet to stretch them out.. I also found that they were a really thick profile. I have ESS goggles as well so i'll prob use those more but i'll still use these ones too when they're needed..
