Getting somewhat disappointed / tired of wwii reproduction gear. Attempting to acquire more authentic items for my wwii kits.
Cooking Tin, Wooden Canteen and Belt Buckle are some of the authentic period items acquired recently to upgrade my late war FJ kit.

The are called coconut canteen or most offen called.
These canteens with the chemically impregnated pressed wood bodies were developed for tropical use but mostly they saw service in Europe post D-day.

I know you can get a real deal 1st or 2nd model de activated Panzerfaust 30 in decent shape for about $1K. Panzerschreck? No clue about getting one in Canada.

Yup.

I mis-matched my"coconut" canteen with a 1942 cup (riveted, not spot welded handle and olive green) to give it a continental late war flavor. Wooden canteens generally have the more conical black drinking cups.

While I highly doubt I would wear this at a wwii airsoft reenactment, I would most likely bring / wear it at a static living history event.

1942 date B4 Mae West Life Preserver.

Minty-esque condition.

Great extra flavor for those 101st Airborne impressions.
