Yessir!

It's called "My Big Fat Independent Movie" it's a indie film that makes parodies all the big indie films from the past 15years. Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, Pi, Amelie, El Mariachi, Magnolia, Run Lola Run, etc etc etc etc

huh, never woulda thunk it. The pistol grip, triger mech, an general look of it led me to think M16. only the action at rear gives the mini14 impression, and that could have just as easily been slapped on there for the LCF, as the M16 bits were.

Don't remember that movie but from the posh background and scenic view I'm guessing Beverly Hills. Maybe "30 days in the Valley" or whatever that weird movie was called about everyone going crazy in BH.
