I think the new Polarstar drop in is positioned to compete with the Wolverine drop in as well. We may see it under $350.
Is the Tippmann M4 confirmed for $399 |

Even if the next polar star was 300$, you still have to invest on the inner barrel and externals... Will you have a better product in the end that justify the investment? Probably... but you'll have to put it together yourself. Many players don't want to go down that road.

That's true; Polarstar gives 100% of their profit back to airsoft players while Tippman used their corporate profits to fund Piss Christ.

Tippmann which is now GI Sportz are focused 100% on paintball. They have heavy investment in paintball making equipment. How G.I. Sportz paintballs are made - YouTube The paintball industry is shrinking. If you have not noticed more and more paintball dealers are now offering a airsoft gun line, you don't see airsoft dealers selling paintball guns.
Airsoft is growing and GI Sportz is using the Tippmann past success to position a airsoft M4 which it is going to be out soon, but I have not seen any shooting or tech videos on it. Maybe it is a sign that paintball dealers will be pushing Tippmann M4's if paintball sales are down. Last edited by SuperHog; May 12th, 2014 at 09:32.. |

lol, again wait for it to release and then get your hands on one to pass judgment. Honestly not sure about the logic in some of these last posts.

Joined up so that I could keep an eye on this convo. I was looking into a DG, but now this makes that a moot idea. There's far more info here than any where else.
Also, what is the likelihood of Tippmann 98 Custom parts working in this? I.e. Trigger upgrades etc. also seems like it's going to need a heavier bolt to get a more realistic kick. That and the rail system will be the first thing to go. Would also like to see better videos of it firing. Last edited by WillBeck; May 12th, 2014 at 02:11.. |

I will have one in my hands this coming weekend at a US event. I will do my best to get some video of the Tippmann M4 for you; shooting, internals, whatever they let me video.

Finally, good news.
Are you going to do the review with CO2 and HPA? |

I will try to shoot it with both 12g mags and an hpa remote line setup... it will depend on what Tippmann will let me videotape and how they have it set up for me. I have asked to do a full review video and am waiting for a response.
