I think the M4 embodies the "assault rifle" look. When you think about a soldier with a rifle, you think M4 or M16.

I've been told that if you beat a horse hard enough, the SPCA comes along and hey presto - you have another audience.

dragwindsor: I totally get that the M4 looks like the quintessential soldier's gun, but the Glock looks like the quintessential cops gun. They sort of don't mix in my mind. Why don't we all go buy some Pilot helmets with the cool HUD targetting systems while we're at it to add to that chic mix-match look we're all going for! ;-)

You gotta admit, the M4 IS a pretty gnarly lookin piece. It looks agressive. I might get a CA m249 mk2, just because it is BADASS, no other reason.........(btw...I'm a USP fan myself)

Maybe we could petition for a new sub-forum where folks could post up shots in their rig and a selected panel of style guys could offer biting criticisms about their life choices, their rail guards being the wrong shade of FDE and so on.

I bet it would be fun.

Great Idea! I want some opinions on my airforce pilot helmet + matrix overcoat + M4 + Glock + cowboy boots get up. I'm thinking the spurs are a bit too much, but wanted to hear what everyone else had to say.

If the spurs are CADPAT it's all good.

Well I'm thinking of showing up to the next meet in office clothes. I think the whole "Postal" look could become me. That could make for a great themes night: SWAT versus office workers gone "Postal".

I'm tired of teams looking so homogeneous!

Well the boots I can borrow from my nephew, but dang! It's hard to get a pilot's helmet with the proper trademarks and HUD displays! I'm having no luck finding a source for one in the FAQ. 007 doesn't stock one, and I'm afraid it'll be confiscated at customs - especially if the package is labeled "airsoft pilots helmet". I suppose if I get the seller to throw in a few paintballs, I could have it labeled "pilots helmet for paintball". Anyone try this before?

Unless there is some law against pilot helmets, an "airsoft" pilot helmet would have no reason to be confiscated. Customs don't confiscate airsoft guns because they're "airsoft", they confiscate "guns".

hmm.. I thought the silliness of the notion would have given away the intent, but it seems even with the utmost silliness, ideas like these seem to be taken seriously on these boards.

Sorry, besides the fact that sarcasm don't transmit well over the internet, we've actually gotten some pretty stupid people suggesting some pretty stupid things in the past.
