Well I installed the falcon kit.
In short it sucks. I've lost fps and the shorts are very random. The hop up rubber with the kit was mis-cast (I had to poke out the barrel hole). The barrel extender was to small to fit the inner barrel so I had to drill it out. I now have to take this garbage out of my gun. (all shots fired with duster)

What velocity do you guys normally get with duster?
Thanks! |

Me I get normal outdoor aeg fps (~400). Propane is a lot higher and the stock hop up is ineffective. (450 to 500). I use a stock mag.

FPS with duster on .20s will range from 380-400 depending on air temp and your rof. with a tightbore it will rise to 400-420 depending. Works wonders for indoor games on super hot days.
With duster you will also find your bolt will lock back far less then on propane when its hot outside. Just make sure before you go from one gas to another that you open up your mags and clean them out, otherwise you may notice your FPS spike drastically from 380 one shot to 450 on the next. |

I know www.sofmilitary.co.uk offers them in their re-enactors catalogue for £150.00 which is ~$245 CDN.
Marstar had them for $325 CDN but they have been out of stock for some time. Lots of US retailers sell them for ~$175 USD but from what I have read most of them won't ship to Canada (cheaperthandirt and so on). It wouldn't hurt to ask your local firearm store if they can get them. |

So i'm a bit stuck guys. I've got it taken apart down to the barrel and hop up, and its this metal lump attached to the barrel. There's no visible screws and pins, and I've tried twisting the little brass ring thats between the barrel and the lump of the hop up unit, but I don't want to apply too much pressure in case I twist something inside the unit.
Am I even doing this right? Should I be trying to remove this brass nut?

Is it the large brass nut with the barrel running though it? If so then yes. It has two flat sides.

Yeah thats the one! I was worried I'd tear the rubber or something if i twisted it too hard. Thanks a lot Hurley!

Has anyone considered cutting down and retreading the outer barrel say 5mm longer than the inner. Then use duster and have a serious CQB unit, that should still have good accuracy at range.
