if you look at say a 96 that fires 450 ft/s - even tho it fires that fast, will it still not out-range an AEG?

and as far as upgrading a sniper TO out-range an AEG, is it as simple as a new spring?

P.S. not looking to buy or to ask where to buy upgrades, just curious, I know all the reasons why I should start w/ an AEG, which is what I am going to do, but yeah, just wondering
It's not a question about how far can you spit out the bb(max range). It's about how far you can spit it out and actually hit something (effective range). With a stock BA if you miss your target at say 150 feet you'd get a reply via air mail of 20-30 bb's from a stock aeg. Pretty much a guaranteed hit.

HAHA, definatly, I hear that. that being said, could you not upgrade your AEG to shoot as far as a top-notch sniper at only say 380-400 ft/s concidering you had primo hop-up and such?

Yup you can. There's some primo-upgraded AEG's that come close to the same range as my VSR... Only difference is my VSR is whisper quiet.. so I can take out 3-4 guys before they have any idea where I am.

I'd suggest looking up the local scene in your area... See if they'll allow you to help with organizing games or taking pictures, little things like that.

The more face-time you put in and show that you're a responsible individual, the higher chances that you'll be allowed to play when you're 16.

+ Helping out and being around airsoft for 2 years... You'll really learn quite a bit.

(I started with airsoft when I was 14 too )

you Sir, are my Idol!

is the VSR more expensive stock, than the well 96?
and if you don't mind - I am 20 but I am not age verified so I will understand if you say no - what type of hop-up do you need, like, is it a two stage hop-up? or is it a regular hop up, just primo quality? I don't want to know where to buy - I would like to gain respect and not ask where to buy until I am AV'd - but, what's the deal w/ that

thanks - Jburough

When making a sniper... You MUST buy parent brand.. none of the clone bullshit, (Tokyo Marui, Tanaka, Maruzen, Marushin, Classic Army)

The hop on TM VSR's uses the same rubber as their pistols... It's a really good system, I haven't changed out the stock hop-up unit on my VSR, just the rubber and barrel.

I buy all my after market parts straight out of a couple specialty shops in Japan.

Guns however come from the classified section.
