FRS and GMRS? wtf?
Which one is normally used in games?
And what's the difference? |

frs is family radio service. short transmition range of about 3ish KM. gmrs is general mobile (or media) radio service. you need a license if it's over a half watt. gmrs 1/2 watt walkies will usually have a range of 8+ KM.
use what you want but gmrs usually has better frequency security and you'll get less weak trans. static. so i'd go gmrs. |

also, some gmrs radios have up to 5 watt power signal
Styrak and I tested our through the city, and got about 6 miles, so when we play at PBP in regina, we are never out of range |

My Motorola GMRS leaked over to a Law Enforcement band (dunno which) at FlagRaiders, and we had a guy asking for our location. Oops.
Nothing switching to a new channel didn't fix... |
