Can anyone tell me or have a picture of how much is block when you use an ACOG or Red dot with the front sight post one? Like the fix ones from M4/M16

It depends. If you put it on the carry handle then it the front sight wont block the view at all. If you remove the carry handle and mount in on the rail you will definatley need a riser.

Well, if you put the Eotch or Aimpoint without riser then it would appear in your optic but for ACOG, I'm pretty sure that you won't even knew that it exist in there. No doubt about that. Hope it help.

Why not get a flip up if you're that concerned about it?
Normally, you need to have it co-witnessed incase your optics do fail.
As for RDS, you need to have both eyes opened, not only one.

Regardless if ure using an ACOG (non-magnified) or aimpoint, shouldnt the top edge of the front sight be touching the reticle? Hence, shouldnt the front sight always be in view when looking through a RDS??

I had the same problem. And the solution is saw off your front sight!...

Or... Get a flip up front sight just in case your RDS runs out of battery in middle of a big massive outdoor game.

You are talking about aimpoint in your sig, right ? if so then it would clear all the way since that aimpoint already had riser.

I got myself one of these and it works perfectly. I didn't have to change the front sight and now when you look thru my sight, the dot sits perfectly on top of the front sight.

I also use one of these, with a replica aimpoint and the standard low mount it comes with. Slight adjustments to the reticule position, and I had it right on top of my front sight while looking through the rear sight. Perfect height. This is ideal, to have them lined up with your sights. There was a thread with this earlier. You should zero your irons to your BB's flight, then zero your RDS to your irons.
