CASV or CQBR?

Hello everybody.

I'm looking to upgrading my M4 with a new frontgrip so I could mount flashlights and such onto it.

I'm still new and none of my friend knows anything about M4s because their new too.

So here does.

What's the different between CASV and CQBR? and which is good for what?

Also, I found that Mad Bull mainly have CQBR and King Arms have the CASV.

Mad Bull's product is cheaper than King Arms, but their made out of the same materials, why are the price so different?

Another thing, can the CASV and CQBR carry mini type batteries? Or do I need to get an external battery kit?

The CASV can hold minis...but some makes are tight if you have a thick solid barrel in there. Little lipo battery would probably fit.

The KA CASV is solid as a rock. Quality made...and you pay for it. The new model with the flip up front sight is really nice.

A lot of "free float"/ris/ras grips are made out of aluminum...some CASV's are made out of heavy guage plate. Fit, finish and market demand make the price. Personally, I like a lot of Madbull's stuff.

No sure what Madbull "CQBR" you're talking about...link or reference helps (madbull makes at lot of different foregrips). But in most CQBR RIS rails...you cannot squeeze any battery in there...so it's either re-wire to the stock or PEQ box.

The term CQBR tends to describe a 10.5" barrel M4, lots of times with RIS foregrip and collapsible stock.

you are comparing apples and oranges here
CQBR refers to a type of rifle (close quarters battle rifle)
CASV refers to a type of front rail system (originally coined by VTLOR if I am not mistaken)

Sorry about the confusion...

So my question is, why is CASV have a dent in the front and the top rail way longer compare to CQBR?

Like, which is for what use? And which would fit a M4?

The Notch at the front is for the Front Sight
You can put a short CQB barrel in a CASV
The CASV is RAS
and the KAC RIS you have shown is just a different style of Rail system
The CASV is free floating (meaning it does not attach to the barrel)
THE KAC RIS is attached via the Upper and the barrel
Both systems are for Armalites (M4/M16 Family)

Also, does anyone know if it's possible to attach a rail on the bottom for a vertical hand grip?

You won't be able to fit a battery in there.

The JP kits are sweet. Very, very well made. Those little rails can be positioned in any of those slots.

The only battery that you'd be able to fit in there was a butterfly lipo pack...and even then it'd be extremely tight. And, to charge it, you'd need to either remove the hanguard and or figure something out with the wiring. Some guys are willing to do that for a certain look.

You'd be better of rear-wiring your mechbox and using a crane stock.
