Acceptable ID
First off, sorry if this has been beaten to death, or this is in the wrong place.
I did look around (FAQs) and couldn't find what is considered an acceptable photo ID for Age verification. I turned 18 back in January, but I have never bothered getting my permit, and as such have no photo ID. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Birth Cert with a picture like a university ID (or employee ID) should do. I mean if you think about it, it could be *anyones* birth cert since there's no picture. Just to be safe though bring a few since you have no picture.
Also can't you get some sort of provincial ID card that's not a DL? In BC you can get what's called a BCID and that's not a DL so anyone can apply for one.

Why don't you guys let the Age Verifiers answer this.
Any government issued photo ID is acceptable. Drivers licence, PAL, Liquor board ID, University ID, etc. But it must be done in person, face to face, period.

And it should be noted a Verifier is under no obligation to accept an ID which he doesn't feel is satisfactory, which would include say a picture ID with a picture that looks more like your older brother than you. Verifiers have full discretion in their duty.

OK, thanks everyone. I wanted to make sure one of the Provincial IDs would be good enough before I went to get one, or what to look for.

if you can't get a drivers license you can get an age of majority card. you will have to provide them with several pieces of ID including your birth certificate and others. call before you go.
