TOP M249 gearbox type?
I am currently selling my TOP m249 and have been asked a question about it that I don’t know the answer to, the question is as follows: Q: Hello, Do you know the gearbox type? The gun is a completely stock TOP M249 Para does anyone know what type of gearbox it would have?
Thanks...Jonney |

Taking a look at the UNCompany website it appears there is an "upgraded gearbox" (manufactured by PGC which has been discontinued) for the TOP 249 and it comes in V2 and V3 versions so I don't know... You'd probably have to take it to a gundoc to tell you what it is. Otherwise take it apart and see if you can tell what it is.
I'll see what else I can dig up. EDIT: WGC appears to sell only the PGC V3 gearbox for the TOP 249. There is also a Guarder Gearbox but it looks like it's only the shell (Doesn't look like a V2 though)... It also looks like other 249's use V3 also (STAR appears to use V3 gearbox for it's 249).

Top's gearbox is unique to Top's gun...
They don't do things the normal way... Their pistons don't use a cylinder, it uses some crazy billow system... TOP guns are great externally... but questionable internally (Unless you can get the PGC/PRO-WIN upgrades for them, then they're an all-around beast) |
