G&G GR-16 m4 ( polycarbonate version )
I have aquired the G&G gr-16 m4 through WARCRAFTGAMES ( www.warcraftgames.ca )and I guarantee that I will be putting this weapon through some serious testing! M@tt from warcraft games ( and anyone that has seen me play ) knows how I am with my stuff and that I'm not shy about using something sometimes well beyond its breaking point. So that being said M@tt has requested a full review of this weapon so a video/pictoral of this weapon including chronoing and range tests will be forthcoming.
Weapon pics and first impressions out of the box. This is what $399.84 tx in looks like ( lol ) As stated this weapon with tx costs $399.84 and comes with everything you see in the pictures 9.6v 1400 mah battery G&G 450 rd hi-cap spanner type wrench for front end removal battery charger and special instruction manual Yes this is a polycarbonate bodied weapon but its also backed by a 30 day manufacturer warranty. pretty much an unheard of thing in the world of airsoft weapons! This weapon is also chronoed in at 365 fps with mt .20 ammo. I myself will be verifiying this claim on video for all to view in the very near future. I will be running this weapon through some tests in the next two days ( in row )so watch for video highlights of this! I would aslo like to point out that if your reading this and havent owned or maintained an aeg before please read the battery charger instructions. This isnt your average wall charger and it will do you justice to read the instructions. Well as far as first impressions go thats all I have for now. Stay tuned as there is more to follow! |

I look forward to reading your posts; I'm waiting for a CAS version GR16 M4 from 007 Airsoft. It has the same guts and plastic lower as yours, but the outer barrel, charging handle, and a few other bits are made from a lower grade metal, which brings the price down to $308 plus GST.

Put over 1K rounds through both guns and all seems to be running very smoothly. Excellent ROF and FPS imo for out of the box. The only issue I have run into so far with these guns is the fact that they don't mate too well with PMAG Magpull magazines. The magazine after a shot or two "settles" in the magwell just enough that the magazines feeder is just a hair too far away from the hopup for a proper feed. I've tested it with both guns and 10 mags, all the same results. The HiCaps that come with the gun however have performed flawlessly - Too bad though because the hicap really isn't what I want in there. I imagine a bit of electrical tape in the right spot will snug up the mag enough so that it stays put. --UPDATE-- Put a longer barrel in my CQB-R and I'm getting 359-363 FPS on the chrono. However, with the silencer on the end of this thing, it's really not so much a CQB style weapon anymore lol.

I'm relieved now; I was this close to ordering some MAGPUL low-caps from eHobby. I'd have been sorely disappointed to find that they didn't work.
I got Star low-caps instead; anyone know if I'll have issues with them?

What type of magpul's did you have low mid or highs also what brand? Magpullor Magpul by Star.
Because the Magpul by Star fit fantastic in my CQB-R and my teamates M16spr. Also Stars in general Fit fantastic. My VN's fit flawlessly and one leave on average about 0-3bb's in the mag. |

MAGPUL by star are the brand I'm having troubles with, they fit my friends CA m4 but in my CAS M4 and my other from Mach1 - nothing but problematic. I have to hold the bottom of the mag for it to feed properly - they're the 75 rd lowcaps. The branding on the mag is PMAG 30 MAGPUL PTS

I have a box of 75rnd STAR PMAG's that had the same feeding issue in my CA M4's. I filed down the edge of the BB retention lip in each magazine just a tad, and now each mag feeds flawlessly. Give it a shot.
