Gearbox on my Mp7

how I know what gearbox I have?

if u do know, it is great b/c I need to know

I got it from Cabela's. I know it is Mp7 but for some reason it call TF7

Tactical Force TF7 is actual product name. don't said any about gearbox.

I plan to go outside tomorrow with temperature possible -10 to 5. I hear that some gear will break in cold. question is how extreme cold before gear will break, and will my Mp7 break in this condition?

the mechbox you have in there is this one http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...oducts_id=1158

and dont go outside in the cold with your mp7 since this gearbox is wayyyyyy more fragile than a version 2 , and it will crack on cold temp, my buddy's one cracked at 20c sooo...

I test it recent

first I get 2 low cap mag filled up then fire one mag outside (-10)

then put in freeze for 5 min then fire again. no problem occur. i guess I will gamble on my gun

That's not really an accurate test..

the whole TF line uses sub-par parts in their guns so there is a MUCH greater chance of them breaking than a name-brand gun.

The biggest problem you'll run into is your little 7.2V battery will die very, very quickly, and you'll be terribly out-ranged outdoors.

If you wanna come outdoors and play I would suggest against an AEP.

... Your gun barely shoots 50 feet.

The average aeg shoots about 90 or so...

Come out to the game tomorrow and bring your MP7, you'll understand what I mean.

I do recall seeing upgrades for them if you do feel so inclined to do so. I almost bought one just to tinker with.

Apparently the upgrades don't work with the TF7... The tolerances are off by too much on those things.

But seriously, an MP7 is not a viable out-door gun.

I have one with no prob's as of yet,but it's not that old and the 9-ball parts do fit,but your no going to see big gains. You just can't really get it to perform high fps with cyl. thats small can only hold so much air and the battery isn't big enough either. But eh,there still fun to mess around with. Mine chonoed at 261 fps with .20's I won't use it in a game, but it's still fun for the basement I'm sure he'll pick up another gun when he has the funds, till then "run what ya brung"

Of course :P I was just stating instead of worrying about upgrading it he should save for something a little more out-door worthy.

MP7's are great for XT when the engagement distances aren't any greater than 30 feet... But outdoors you'll be outgunned by even stock china clones AEG's.

My MP7 must be a miracle then.....I have had it since July and nothing is wrong with it. I have played in -10 to +30 with it. I would have to say the gun does SUCK alot and I cant wait until I turn 18 to get something that is a real Airsoft gun.
