Looking for info on Browning High Power

Just got age verified today, just waiting for it to get done on the forum. In the mean time I have done a search for threads concerning the Browning High Power automatic and there ar a few discussing the really thing but nothing on if any airsoft company makes on. The reason this hand gun intrests me is that I picked up a wood holster/stock that was made in 1945 for the Browning. I want the gun for display purposes but figure I might as well get one that is airsoft capable as well as I want a side arm anyway. Any help is goos

Classified ads, which include want ads, are not permitted outside the Age Verified classified areas. You should know this since you just got verified.

Sorry bud. I didn't really consider this an add as I was asking if anyone even made the weapon in question.

Yup. And they're available.

Talk to me once your verification goes through. I know some one who has one on sale right now.

Tanaka makes them.

I've flagged this post as a Wanted ad outside of the classifieds, but I see you are more looking for info... just be more careful in your wording, in this case "Looking for information for a Browning High Power" would have been more suitable.

Two flavors for you:

BHP Military

http://redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/ai...l?prodID=23323

BHP M1935

http://redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/ai...l?prodID=22412

Hope this helps!

Tanaka also made a Canadian marked version.

Thanks guys. Soryy again, I'll be more careful with my wording from here on in. Live and learn as they say. It is nice to see that the site is monitered so well. Keeps things straight.

There seems to be an issue with this gun and low shooting power. Before purchasing, I suggest you look into what mods are possible to allow propane, else you are stuck with duster and 200 fps.

This might sound strange because most airsofters want performance from thier guns but in this case it is more a display piece then a gaming gun. The fact that it is functional is a bonus. Thanks for the advice. I will probibly look for something else as a field side arm but would still like a Browning anyway. Thanks Amos as well as soon as I get the age verification showing up on the forum I'll PM you for more info. Thanks all

You'll have your age verification soon enough. Your info was entered into the verification thread, but Scarecrow misspelled your user name when he submitted it and the admins didn't find it. So you didn't make it into today's round of AV updates.

I made a post pointing them to your profile with the correct spelling of your user name, so you'll be updated shortly.

Yeah, the U and E were reversed, so naturally, there was no beullxbk to update.. :P
Saw there was an error so thought I would lend a hand. You should get updated as soon as the next batch of updates goes through.

Since this is a more recent thread on the Browning Hi-Power, how does one decock the gun? It won't fire unless the magazine is in the gun, and I've already put gas in the mag. With mag in the gun, you can slowly let the hammer forward but it doesn't seem to go all the way forward...it's in a sort of half-cock that is different from the pictures in the manual.

Yeah I came very close to purchasing a Tanaka Hi Power a couple of times, but was turned off by it's low FPS and duster gas requirements. It would be great for my WW2 Canuck kit, but I want something to game with at the same time...
