Im curious to what part of the pistol stays in the cocked position? could you elaborate more please. Also,,you do know that the tm mk-23 socom pistol is classed as a nbb ( non blow back ) meaning the upper slide does not move when fired. It could aslo be that the slide was removed recently and considering ( if memory serves ) its a used/traded for pistol it's quite possible it simply wasnt reassembled properly and causing you problems.
A couple pointers on the socom for you:
see the "take down lever" just above the trigger circled in red? At times,,specially when holstered,, this lever can move upwards about a couple/ three mm's. If this happens your trigger will lock and you will not be able to fire it. Simply get into the habit of making sure the lever is in its full locked position with your thumb everytime you use it.
hope some of this helps......
