G36, double scope

Hey there,
I have always been a fan of the look of the standard G36 optic, but thought that the fact that they tend to magnify to intensely to be a bit of a setback. You can see farther then you can shoot ><

any who, I heard about the G36 dual-scopes that are on some of the real steel (or would it be real plastic?) G36's

This is what im after, Its a standard magnified G36 scope, but a standard red dot above it

I found a airsoft version made by star on redwolf for 150 bucks, unfortunatly discontinued and out of stock ><

http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwol...l?prodID=17903

has anyone heard about these? know where i could get one?

thanks-

Ben

the dual optic system is quite cool looking ill admit, however even the german army has stopped using the dual optic system. They realized the problem with it and created a rail on their standard G36 optic in the G36A2. The optic with the rail on top is made by both star and G&P.

However if you are interested in the dual optic still, STAR makes/made it, but i believe it is discontinued and also has bad eye relief and the red dot is not so great from what i hear.

thanks for clearing that up, According to red wolf the dual optic is discontinued.
I wasn't about to drop $150+ on this before doing a bit of reserch on it, but i seems to be a pretty rare part...
If anyone else has any experience with it, has heard anything about it, or knows where i might find one, please, let me know

STAR's prices have gone down because their middleman (ARES) has decided to sell their own guns at cheaper prices. Also the STAR G36K now comes with the scope with the rail on top, no more dual optic.

I had a Star G36K before.

I can tell you, the scope itself is CRAP. You eye relief is so bad that you have to be under 1" from the scope to actually see something.

I had the top railed scope, so I can't say for myself, but I heard the RDS was comparable to the early P90RDS from TM. Too small opening to sight properly, too large body to clear the view.

I've got a STAR Hensoldt sight. It's a peice of shit. The eye relief on the 3x scope is ok, but the RDS is total crap. It might, just might be bright enough for indoor play, in the dark. Oh, and the battery cover comes off with the slightest touch.

Here's a link to my review:

ARES does not make a real steel quality optic/red dot.
