Info on bevel gears and their differences.

I have used a few gearsets in my time and well as it goes there is standard ratio , torque up (heavier spring and less force needed to pull it back), and high speed (faster is better or so it seems).

Now all these gears come with bevel gears that are either 2 or more anti reversal notches. Here are some pics below.

Standard 2 Latch Bevel Gear

4 Latch Bevel Gear

9-10 Latch Bevel Gear (Mind you these are damn expensive kinda like Prada for Airsofters)

Now with the standard 2 lug there is a bit of lag after a trigger pull in semi. You will notice by your 2nd pull right after the first. The mechbox is still winding back at that time. Now i have used the 4 lug a couple times and just installed another in my ICS and from the 2 too the 4 lug its a new world in semi. Yes you can pull that trigger like a madman and let the rounds fly but all in all if you need 2 on target while maintaning ammo control it will let you do that.

If there is more info needed or I have given some bad info please let me know. THis is from my own experience and how I have seen them perform. I havent used the pheonix gear set and I am also only talking about bevel gears.

There are more bevel gears out there with different amounts of latches. This is a small writeup and im short on time and thought this info would help people out a bit.

Hope more people have more info for this.
