Well MB01 L96A1

I noticed that A&A has these going for $350. It claims 450 fps out of the box with .2's and has all the associated bits and pieces for a sniper rifle included in the price.

Has anyone out there heard about them, or even got one, and is it any good?

I was considering ordering one just as a change to my VSR, but I suppose that will depend on the opinions!

Cheers,

Yorkie.

It's a Chinese copy of the Maruzen APS Type 96 .

The Maruzen APS Type 96 only is 280-300 FPS.

You're probably better off buying a UTG L96?

This is kind of speaking out of the ass as I have no experience with either of those air soft rifles, but I have seen this question asked a few times so I'll say what I've seen other more experienced people say.

Although it claims a high FPS, it probably does not have anywhere near the accuracy of the more pricey TM VSR10. Contributing factors could be low quality materials used in construction of the rifle as well as a poor hop up system.

If you like the look of the L96 tho I don't think the wells would be that bad, since most ppl will end up replacing all the internals to upgrade it.

You'd be surprised, the sniper rifles are probably the BEST product that WELL has produced, my friend had two WELL VSR-10 Clones they put the TM to shame, heavier weight 400fps out of the box and was just as accurate so I'd expect the same/better for the L96 clone.

Oh ok that is cool to hear that there is a cheaper yet viable option available.

I stand corrected

That's what I was thinking. I have a USR-11 as well that shoots great. I'm actually in the process of upgrading that and turning it into a Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk1. A nice winter project to keep me busy.

However, it would be nice to have another rifle (can't have enough guns!) to play around with, and if it's okay to shoot, then for the money you can't go wrong.

Already have all the stock parts, just figuring out the loading and how to attach the butt to the forestock, on the No4. Mk1 there is a stock band that joins the two and is an integral part of the receiver assembly.

USR/VSR rifles don't have that.

No worries though, plenty of time to figure out a solution.

Anyone know if the well l96 is compatable with APS2 / VSR / CAm24 parts?

I'd like to get a gun that I know I'd be able to upgrade as time goes by..

I was planning on doing a VSR to enfield conversion myself. Though I was going to carve the stock and butt stock as one piece instead of using real steel. Never managed to track down a bolt action springer at a good price though. (I didn't want high FPS for it, since the enfield would be used just iron sights.
