Clearsoft Mod (don't laugh, just curious!)
Hello, out of curisoity I was just wondering if anyone has ever tried to mod a clearsoft gun (better gearbox/spring/whatever) to make it a higher end gun. (e.g. actually a competetive gun) It doesn't seem possible as I can't find an account of anyone doing such a thing, but why wouldn't it work?

Like, by clearsoft I mean a low-end AEG, and I'm curious if you could replace certain gearbox elements such as they spring with say... TM Upgrade Parts so that even though your gun still had a lame looking body it actually shot powerfully/accurately.

If you want to upgrade a gun like that, it will be cheaper to get a TM. If you think I'm lying, go look at the prices for the parts you will need.
But it's your money. |

That's the point though, I don't know what parts you would need so I have no clue how much it would cost, but thanks for telling me that it would not be worth it.

low grade plastic might break too from the shocks of the spring being pulled and pushed back.

I'll have to pick up a cheap gun someday to violate it, but just remember, it will not be on par with the better brands, and it will probably explode or something. |

if you want a fairly decent gun without the burn on ur bank account you could get like a echo1 mp5 alot of tm parts will work with echo 1 im pretty sure havent used one myself so i cant be positive

Not Eye Safe, Pretty Boy Maximus on the field take his picture!

what makes a high end gun a high end gun is the quality of the body, because there ARE some high end AEG's that dont shoot worth crap when you first get them.

Still, price does affect the mechbox as well.
In the end, you get what you pay for, and in the case of cheapsoft, a bit less, since retailers seems to overcharge for them. |

Don't want to spend a lot, but want to assure a good gun for the money?
I've ordered almost everything on this page: http://www.kapowwe.com/Merchant2/mer...igh-Grade-AEGs I've bought over 50 of their M14's. The SCAR's have ball bearings in them already! |

imo, to get a bunch of mods on a $30-$60 clearsoft gun is a little bit on the pointless side (not to be mean or anything, just to clarify).
