TM P226 with Hogue Grips

It took me a while but I got the grips to fit pretty much dead on. Few problems though.

First problem is with the grip itself. To make the Hogue grip (one piece style) fit the bottom has to be dremmeled out so the thing that sticks together at the bottom is gone. There is a small grip along the back of the grip as a result. Probably only like 1mm or less depending on how I'm holding it. On the TM stock grips those metal pins hold it together in the back, what can I do with the hogue? What solutions have any of you guys found?

The other issue is with the plastic body. I have two of the plastic bodies and when screwing in the grip I popped out those little brass fasteners (no idea what you'd call them, the things with the threading on the inside). The grip screws holes have been made more shallow but now those brass things are so loose that I can't even tighten it at all, they just spin in place. This happened on both plastic frames.

What do I do?

I know for a fact he's fit at at least one of these before.
