PSG-1 Stock Modification for Larger Battery

Has anybody gone through the process of modifying the PSG-1 stock so that a larger battery can be inserted?

I'm in the process of installing a 10.8V 1500mAh battery in this configuration:

But I'm having some difficulty in figuring out exactly what needs to be modified or how the battery should be placed in the stock while maintaining full usability of the adjustable parts.

A link to a page would be great...
I remember once seeing a guide on how to do it online, but I can't for the life of me remember where I saw that page. I thought it was Arnies Airsoft, but I'm coming up empty handed in searches (and their forum just went down... grr...)

Help?

I dont know a whole lot about Lipo batteries but they are smaller. Here are some size dimensions to help you compare.
Battery height mm Width mm length mm
Lipo 11.1v (8cell) 22 34 82
nihm 10.8v (9cell) 25 45.72 154.2
nihm 9.6v (8 cell) 23 43.18 150

as you can see these batteries are considerably smaller but they tend to cost a little more. You may not have to mod your stock at all. You are going to need to research more about the lipo but I have noticed them in airsoft forums more and more lately.

I found this lipo at https://www.all-battery.com/index.as...ROD&ProdID=992
good luck

I don't think Li-po would be safe in the application I'd need it for.

This PSG-1 is cranking a Systema 300% spring which pushes close to 500fps. The current draw required from the battery would be so great, that I would not trust Li-Po cells to the user's safety, especially when his head/face is sitting so close to the pack.

The only cell chemistry that I trust for such a high-current application is Ni-Cad cells.

ThunderCactus, Yes, thank you. That is the link I'm looking for.
