Bearing Bushings shimming

I am just starting to open up guns and have attempted to install a set of gaurder bearing bushings on a V3 with stock TM gears but I had a really hard time getting them on. Is there some magic method that gets them on and off easily to shim? Some go on allot harder then others. I should have payed attention to which gears were tight fitting but it was late.

I use a small hammer ot tap them flat, then try to get them out. That generally opens them up a small sliver, sometimes doesn't. As long as they are perfectly flat shimming is easy from there, but I always find it a lot easier to fit the mechbox halves together all the way with the bushings for the top cover side of the gears sitting on the gears themselves. A LOT easier to line up a large circle into a large hole than to try to get a small circle you often can't see well into a small circualr hole.

Good luck!
