How much sand CAN you fit in your vagina!?

Tokyo Marui PX4 Storm: Performance Upgrades?
I'm a huge fan of the Tokyo Marui pistols, always have been. A few years ago I purchased a couple of PX4's. I fell in love with the PX4 feel and handling, but I find it slightly less of a performer versus some of the other TM pistols I've owned, such as the P226 and 5/7, etc. It's not bad, but its consistency and distance leave something to be desired. Does anyone have a similar experience or know of some effective upgrades or mods? I could just go buy whatever is out there, but I'd rather focus on what works on performance specifically.
Thanks for any help...

What's wrong with it? Perhaps it needs a new hopup rubber, or a new nozzle?

No. I have two of them, my main one is fairly new, maybe a year old, the second is brand new, only fired a few times. Both work about the same. I actually dropped BB weights from 0.28g BB Bastards to 0.25g and got slightly better consistency. If I give them too much hop the BBs won't even pass through it. I'm not even claiming that they are firing poorly, I just know it can be better. At least I hope it can.
Right now I'd wager I'm getting 80 or so feet of inconsistent fire. By that I mean it fires every trigger pull, but the rounds are lame and everywhere.

My PX4 is probably my most accurate and consistent pistol. It's been upgraded quite a bit though. It was a solid performer while stock, I'm still using the stock rubber but with a PDI barrel.

PDI barrel? 6.03, 6.04? Which one? I'll start there and a new rubber.

Rubber should make a big change, inner barrel will help.
Pretty sure banana has a 6.01 in there. You should pick it up straight from japan, yen is low so pdi stuff is cheaper when converted, X-fire or something is their official distributor. I run 0.25 on my pistols, I find they are the sweet spot, for cqb anyways. http://www.x-fire.org/etop/01_h.html Shipping is cheap too. |

I've been running green gas with great effect out of my TMs, except the 5/7s, they hated green gas. Anyway to slightly being up FPS without using high flow mags or risking the integrity of the gun?

If you want more FPS pretty sure you need to run high flow valves on your mags, should be fine if you have a detonator slide on them. Could run MAPP gas hehehehehhe. |

Mine shoots around 290 and I run .3s. As far as I know pdi only makes 6.01 pistol barrels.
I've considered map gas but I'm not going to risk it until I get a hold of spare nozzles and firing pins. |

Clean your barrel?
Can you overhop 0.25g BB's? You should be able to, otherwise you're not getting enough range of hopup setting to set it properly. |

If you're not picky about look a HI CAPA 4.3 tight bore barrel will in the px4 fine. Only when it locks back will the barrel protrude slightly from the outer barrel, otherwise it fits without sticking out. The extra barrel length will get you some FPS.

If there's a threaded outerbarrel out there for the px4, you could also increase your length by a little. |

Tokyo Marui PX4 Storm: Performance Upgrades?
With the extra length on the threaded barrel you should be able to fit a HI CAPA 5.1 tight bore barrel in there no problem. If using 0.2g BBs I would estimate a significant jump in FPS, similar to what you'd get if you had the same upgrade in a HI CAPA 5.1.

I just purchased the matte silver detonator px4 combo set from ehobby. I was tempted to get the barrel you linked as well but it's a bit pricey considering the fact that the one I'm already receiving with the combo set is just fine. I'll most likely get it down the road though and stick a HI CAPA 5.1 tight bore in it since I have an extra PDI sitting around.
