Need help purchasing buckings

Hey all,

A few of my buckings tore after a two years of rough gaming and am looking to purchase another bucking, but I want to try something other than Prometheus Purple (just for the sake of trying something different) and Systema.

Currently the guns I'm looking to upgrade are 400 and under shooting rifles. One has a 455mm Prometheus Barrel (395 FPS last chronoed), one has a 363mm Prommy Barrel (397-400 FPS last chronoed), and one has a VFC 363mm barrel (370-400 roughly. Never had a chance to chrono it yet).

Right now I've been looking into A+ Bucking (60 degrees) Maple Leaf (70-75 degree with nub) and Falcon Green. Which other buckings should I try and which ones work for whichever application? I plan to shoot 28's through most of the rifles at the FPS they are currently at.

I can tell you the falcon green worked great in summer, but is quick to freeze and totally useless below about 5 degrees.
I'd highly recommend the firefly hard, or doing an R-hop mod to your two prometheus barrels

I've always been looking for Firefly Buckings (why a hard bucking out of curiosity?), but they are super tough to come by. Any other recommendation is I cannot find it? Trying to avoid R-hop for now since I don't have the time to invest in it (I've heard you need tons of patients to perfect it).

Or just send it to someone local that has a good rep for doing Rhops
The firefly hard because you need the hard above 380fps
The FF soft and extra soft is primarily for pistols

I might install it in my AIMS rifle (the Firefly Bucking) if I can find one at hand as a pilot order before I order one for all my rifles--if I can't find one, I'll just get an R-hop installed by one of the techs down here. Cheers!

I'm a huge fan of the pdi W hold. Aside from that I used the lonex hard buckings on guns in the high 380+fps.

If you rhop, pick the softest bucking to shave since it will seal better with the nozzle.

A+ is useless in AEGs because it does not retain the internal curvature you want unless you pair it with an extremely concave nub like the old school SCS. My Maple Leaf rubber is pretty good in my pistol, I expect it'd be good in an AEG too. I'm not a fan of the PDI W-Hold because of the FPS drops you get from them due to their design.

In my opinion the best "plug and play" hop up setup is the bridge hop. I just R-hopped one of my guns and I don't find R-hop to be much better than the bridge hop except in efficiency (you don't lose as much FPS lifting heavy BBs)

Let me be absolutely clear - the best bucking is the one that seals best with your nozzle/barrel/hop-up unit combo.
Start there first, then move towards modifiers like Flat/Bridge/G/R-hop.
